Info about Giants needed
Hello All
Me and my friend have gone mad and are travelling from the UK for the 18th July concert at Giants. We are making it a little holiday and staying in New York. Does anyone know about transport from NYC to the stadium (I know they do it for the football games). Or it is better to stay in New Jersey for the night?? Also does anyone know how the GA Pit at the front works. Is it one big area and Standing or is it seated? Ta v. much in advance for any info. |
just want to say how lucky you are to be going over, it is my dream to do that and I've promised myself next tour i will go over. I didn't realise NJ was so close to NYC (not very good with US geography) so now i'll probably do the same as you and have a few days in NYC aswell. Really wish i could afford to do it this year :(
Hope you have a great time |
can i just ask how you managed to get GA pit tickets???
|
Neither did I. Thought is was hours away but is only a short bus ride. Got tickets from E-bay I hate to say. Quite lucky I think as the person selling them didn't seem to be out to make loads of money (a little but not loads). Thanks for the encouragement too. It is all a bit nerve wracking as the decision was made to go in about 2 hours !

The GA area in the USA is what Golden Circle was here in Europe. The area inside the ramp and yes it is standing.
I really envy you because of your chance to experience a GA-concert at Giants. I'm sure you'll have a great time. Can't help because of the transportation though, when I was at Giants in 2003 we stayed near East Rutherford for the night. |
damn i wish i was rich right now lol, just found GA ticks for giants on ebay, 425 dollars atm !!

There's shuttle busses that go from the Port Authority to the Stadium and back again.

From the seating plans I've seen the GA area won't be as big as the ones here in Europe. There are even seats at both sides of the GA pit so I guess it will be smaller. We'll find out in a few weeks.
Last time I went from NY to NJ, I took a bus/coach from Port Authority and it only took 20 mins. As someone said before, that's the best option. Not sure how easy it will be to go back to NY after the concert though. |

http://www.njtransit.com/nn_mbs_4.shtml http://www.njtransit.com/nn_mbs.shtml The 351 is the special events bus from Port Authority of New York/New Jersey to Giants. Read all the info and links on those pages. It's pretty easy access. Getting back after the concert will be a matter of knowing where the bus will leave from the Giants parking lot and making sure that you are there on time LOL. GA has not been as common in this country since 1979 and the Who concert where 9 people died. As far as I know this will be the first Bon Jovi concert with GA at Giants. Bruce has had a GA area for awhile though. I have a fan club GA ticket for one of the nights and I'm very much looking forward to it :) Kathleen |
