Wrong Tickets GELSENKIRCHEN !!!

Well we ordered tickets for the Gelsenkirchen 2003 show. We did order stehplatz tickets. We didn`t got tickets for the innerraum, but for the Nord-Kurve! We don`t want those tickets because they are far too expensive! And an other thing EVENTIM.DE didn`t told anyone that there where more standing tickets on the tribune also. We`d prefer to stand on the field. So EVENTIM.DE hasn`t made all the information clear and kept some information behind.

Well here is an scan of our "damn" ticket!

Is there anything we can do about this???

Hi,

I just wanna be clear on whats gone on - You've ordered one type of ticket, - inneraum or Stehplatz, & they've sent u the wrong ones.
Have u got any confirmation of the original order - I.e by E-mail? Or has anyone printed out the confirmation screen if it was done by the internet??
Or thirdly - if it was done by phone - do they tape their phonecalls?? 'Cos if u have any of these - surely they don't have a leg to stand on??

I gather its not that simple - but I am just trying to grasp exactly what has happened.

With ordering (at eventim.de) you can choose a few different types of tickets... Reserved seats or standing tickets 'stehplatzen' (whithout any further information on what kind of ticktets these are). When you confirm the booking after the whole process of filling out address information, credit card number etc., you get the next information for eacht ticket:

Reihe: - Platz: - TischNr.: -, Infos: Veltins-Nordkurve

So obviously standing places as there are no row and seat numbers... We figured everything was just fine, standing tickets are standing tickets after all; how could we know that there are two types of standing places. And as we were very quick with ordering tickets you can also expect to get the best tickets first - but obviously that's not how things work at Eventim...

We do have all the confirmations of the order, the emails, screenshot of the confirmation screen, everything. But the main problem is that you can't actually choose what kind of standing tickets you want when ordering at Eventim.de. You just randomly get them it seems, which is everything but a fair way to sell the tickets...

Anyway... we thought maybe something is possible if there are many people with the same problem as we are, that we can make something happen together. So if anyone has any ideas what to do with cases like this... any help would be really appreciated!

This situation isn't too similar to the Manchester Fiasco - All they put up the first day was seating. So a large number of us bought these, believing the venue to be all-seating (we clicked on the 'best available' option. The only way to solve this (I.e. get Gold Standing instead of Seating was to phone up & kick up a fuss). Yvonne got lucky - she had hers transferred. I wasn't quite so lucky - after 3 phone calls (& I was quite persistent the last time) I got them to cancel them (for a price), so I could rebook.

Hence the only advice I can give is what Yvonne told me - phone up & get to speak to the highest person available (don't be fobbed off by an operator). Just be really persistent & hope they change them. In the UK alot of it depended on which operator u got through to. One would say'your phoning up to swap BJ tickets right? Another would say, sorry we only sell standing tickets.

Thats all the advice I can give, although I'm sure many of u have tried this already

Good luck anyway.

Is someone interested in those tickets??? PLEASE......

There's a thread here somewhere about the problem. At the moment we can't do anything. They are not willing to replace the tickets or take them back. I talked to them via phone this afternoon after they didn't answer my e-mail and fax. I told them about the fanlcub privilege and that we can't use the tribune ticket for this but that wasn't interesting for them.

The same problem is with tickets for Erfurt.

You probably will find 100s of offers for these tickets on eBay and other auctions soon because everyone wants to sell them.

yours
Christine
