The Distance... no video...
I bought Bounce when it came on sale like 5 and a half year ago but more you listen its' songs more you like em'. For example The Distance has blowed my mind. It is sooooo beatifull and perfect. Maybe one of the best even though that wasn't my opinion when I got the album. I waited that it would come out in video but no... I could so picture it... An autumn and leafs are falling from trees. It's about 10'c and people are wearing their jackets. You can see that the winter is coming... clouds are telling it. Few cold clouds in the sky. Jovi is playing on some stadium in afternoon and weather is little bit of chilly but so beatifull.
Ohhh I have pictured it so well... I would have direct it, damn. Always when I listen it my vision comes to my mind and it mach so good that I honestly almost cry. So dissapoited the didn't make a vdeo of it.... |
I, too, pictured a video. God I wish it was a single.

I loved that song since I fist listened to it. It's weird how we picture videos so well for the songs we like :) I've always liked to direct a video for "Just older", it's so clear in my mind!!

you have sort of a video- off the bounce special edition

i often fantasize about a video for 'something to believe in' being released, a really strong, powerful one that makes critics and everyone else suddenly sit up and take notice of what the band are capable of, and makes grown men weep
But meh, i guess we'l hafta make do with WSYCGH etc.. ''ITS ALRIGHT ITS ALRIGHIIIGHT ITS ALRIGHTT'' *vomits* andi |
heeey someone with a hugh avatar
rock on! |
I love The Distance. I love the hole album of Bounce acually, but The Distance is an amazing song. I have often pictured a video for it in my head.

I personally love the version that was on the Japanese release of videos that came with the TLFR DVD. That version from Yokohama with the strings gives me chills.

Meh, I got a perfect video for Bounce in my mind. I'll type it out later.
Bounce was probably the album with worst single choices. |
I have loved their music since day #1. Some songs are better than others. Some albums are better than others. Music is very personal. What you like, I might not like. I don't think their writing has become lazy. I do think they have a definite recipe for song writing. Every song has like 2 lyrics, then a slow part that speeds up for the big finale. Every single BJ song follows that recipe, it's unique unto them and works for them. As for the fan base, it seems that over past 20 years they continuously gain a new fan for every old fan they've lost. 120 million record sales speak for themselves. Next year they will be inducted in the Hall of Fame. They're doing something right, even if they're not pleasing everybody all of the time. For the most part, I've been a very happy Jovi Fan :-) (Love ya Jonny!)
