Potential Singles
 

Looking back, what are some songs even the band thought would be singles but never came to fruition.

I know with Crush, Captain Crash and Just older were supposed to be singles and with Bounce it was the The Distance. Anyone have any info on earlier albums? I think Jon said "Without Love" probably would have been released next after whatever the last single was.

I think Just Older is the one of the biggest misses from Bon Jovi/Island camp. That song would have been a big hit.

Last man standing would be a great single. They could show that they are still able to rock but probably the song is too hard for the radio.

I think Captain Crash was a big miss from Crush. How did u know that it was "supposed to be a single." Why wasn't it would be my question.

The point of this post wasn't to ask "What do you think should have been released". There have been tons of threads like that. I'm asking "What have they said they wanted released/What was SUPPOSED to be released until they went with something else"

And I'll look for that info for you, have a nice. I remember I found it by going to the old usenet forums, and browsing back to around when Crush came out, to gauge what people thought of it then. I'll try and find that info again.

Sorry. I can't find whatever I read a few years ago. There WAS people talking about hearing Europe would get Just Older and America gets Thank you for loving me. I truly remember reading that live vidoes were shot for both Just Older and Captain crash but can't seem to find it :(

The Distance and Just Older should have been singles. Captian Crash too. I also think I Am and Last Man Standing should have been a single as well...

I'd Die For You was supposed to be a single, but never was.
Wild Is The Wind was talked about being a single, but they felt 5 from new Jersey was enough.

I didn't know either of that! Very cool.

Well, Bounce and I Wanna Be Loved had promo-releases, so maybe they qualify as "potential single" as well.
