on jons black takamine theres an AP ingraved on the top left of his guitar

AP stands for the name of Jon's second guitar teacher, Al Parinello. The whole thing says AP'95, because Parinello died in 1995.
I don't know, weather you can call him 'a person we all know' though -- I've never heared of him before... :confused:
