Hey guys, finally had time to sit down and get something recorded for this little guitar challenge malarky. Here's my effort:

Finally managed to get a half-decent sound from my GT-8 to laptop!

r8's is the only one i can get any audio on.

gaz's doesnt play and andy's just shuts my browser down and gives me the internet explorer error message.

mmm, that's strange, can you open the "stranger" intro? cos it's the same format as that. it works fine on my computer. nice playing RS8, sounds good (liking the bends at the end)

dont think duffs got round to it yet cos hes been workin nights so ive only seen him 2ce in 2 weeks

yeh we always play our own songs at gigs it usualluy in the encore when everyones pissed, when we play our own stuff we turn everythin to 11 and have a spinal tap moment.

Gaz's doesnt work for me either. Everyone elses works. Will get one up in the next couple of days, im in wales till wednesday (business)

Sorry mate, it was the quicktime issue. Works ok now

i had to download another plug in programe for gaz's to work, but it automatically installed it for me. mine's only done with windows media(i think)

k ive got them working now.

i dig r8s the most then andys then gaz's.

im gonna redo mine when my hands better plus im gonna try and figure out how i can get more than 40secs of recording at a time out of my phone so i dont have to rush.

what are you all playing for the little "flurry" bit half way through thats full of pull offs?

when my hands better ill be able to inclue the pinch harmonics and be alot faster durin the flurry

i was getting my solo's confused. put one too many pinched harmonics in at the start.(though i was playing "wanted") for the fast bit i play (i think anyway, haven't got a guitar with me at the moment):

hi did we get the backing tracks i sent? on another note i sent all my parts to my luthier friend so my project should be up and running really soon. we try and get some pics of it during the building process and post them on putfile.

p.s it was a sad day at work today, my bosses have blocked access to ebay. nooooo! how am i meant to look at all those lovely guitars i can't afford? guess i'll just have to do some work!

I think that we should put time limits on future tracks. They have to be laid down by the end of the coming weekend or something as otherwise it just gets dragged out like this.

yeah i agree, thats why i haven't posted anything recently cos i've been waiting for other peoples attempts.

yer well im fooked cos of my hand, i can play the solo just without the pinch harmonics and a slower flurry

im not messing man my hands all swolen, we cancelled practise cos of it and not been gigging at all in the last 2 weeks.

should be back to normal soon though most of the brusings gone.

i hink we should just set aside this BoR solo and start afresh with a new one and set a deadline.......

i was going to lay down the bed of roses solo as soon as i could when i got home :-(

im sorta thinin about recording a few songs right now and uploading them, dunno what to play

Yeah, 'Never Say Goodbye' sounds good. It's actually one song I've never gotten around to learning so it'll be a nice little challenge to ponder over this weekend!

same here plus it has everything

the slow feel in the beggining, fast sweep picking, tapping (optional) and general alternate picking so its a good 'new' starting point

cor, i haven't played that solo in ages, will have to brush up on it this weekend. luckily i'm not workig and my girlfriend is so i can have hours of pleasure to myself, then i'll have to pick up a guitar and start playing :)
