anyone catch the west ham tottenham game yesterday? i was working but thanks to the magic of plasma screens it's easy enough to watch most of the games from behind the bar now.

absolutely fantastic.

im looking forward to not having to work sundays so i can have a beer and enjoy the football more often especially as th epremiership draws to a close.

i finish up work this friday so ive got saturday off and sunday is the old firm game :-)

At least he will be nicely rested and good to go for Australia's first tilt at the Asian Cup! :p

Christ, just when I think I cannot hate Chelsea anymore than I do already, they go and grab a completely undeserved replay against Tottenham in the FA Cup. If they manage to negotiate Valencia in the CL, I really hope Liverpool make it through and kick them out in the semis!

Mourinho is a great manager but a complete tosser to boot!

Coming from a Man U fan whos team have got late winners in matches recently!! :p I did feel Boro were unlucky with the penalty decision, I know within the rules of the game it was a pen but the guy was only protecting his face.

Pure luck I know and admit with the Fulham and L'pool goals but also down to the team simply not giving up the fight until the final whistle. With Chelsea, Mourinho always verbally attacks the officials and the Chelsea players start getting dirty if things aren't going 'their way' - that's what grieves me the most with the club!

The pen was a handball though and if it had happened at the other end and not been awarded, everybody would have been saying,

'Yeah, yeah - it's because it was United that it wasn't given!'

Unlucky for 'Boro but United did deserve at least a draw with the way they played. The first goal 'Boro scored was completely against the run of play but that happens in football (as you pointed out with the reference to late goals). We were lucky to get back in it by not giving up - I just hope they are a little more clinical with their finishing in the replay.

There are a lot of fixtures coming up at the moment and everyone has to play their part if United are to come out with anything this season. Hoping for another historic 'Treble' but, realistically, I don't see our attacking options being strong enough to clinch the Champions League. The Premiership and the FA Cup would be nice considering there has been no serious silverware for a while (by United's standards at least).
