What did Jon say???
I have this version of dry county live where there was a long piano intro in the front...
Anyway just before Richie's amzing solo, Jon gave a speech abt "theres ppl out there in our world that questions what we do everyday...when you lay down tonight you better kbnow one thing... If you believe in yourself, nobody is gonna tell you it ain't gonna happen...I'll tell you one thing that I know..." This is the point where he shouted something like "I've lay down...and gone on holiday baby"??? :? :? :? I am sure thats not what he really said, so could anyone help me out here? :) |
Sorry, i don't know, anyone can help ?

I believe this is Live at Wembley 22-25 June 1995....Jon is talking about believing in yourself and that if you don't you lay down and admit defeat (or somehting like that) the line you are after is 'Ive laid down long and hard enough baby!!!!'......Jon and Richie were on top form that day!!!
Adios Rich E Dee |
I guess Rich E Dee's right. But, I have another version of dry county from bootleg cd 'coverand'. That song has a long duration (12.04) and you can read 'Thomas Anderson's Signature'....

My signature is from the version posted a while back on DryCounty. I don't know when or where it is from though.
The version you want IS from London 95, and goes something like this: There comes a time in every mans life, when he has to face up to a truth, But it seems in this world, this life is based on two things; Love, and Fear, and there's people out there in that world that are gonna question everything you do, every single day, every single night, so when you lay down tonight you'd better know one thing; if you believe in yourself there ain't nothin, or nobody, gonna tell you that it ain't gonna happen for you, and I'll tell you one thing right here, right now..... I'VE LAID DOWN LONG AND HARD ENOUGH BABY!!!! There may be a couple of mistakes, but that's the best that I could decipher. |
wonder where i could get a version of the 95' verison of dry county?
|
Hey it IS "I've lay down long and hard baby". :o :o :o Thomas Anderson's version is the one I have...and it is pretty much accurate too. Thanx guys :D :D
It seems so obvious now when I go back and hear it... can't believe I mistook it for "i've lay down and gone on holidays"...DUH   |
I have only heard the one that is on the signiture...but its pretty inspirational (if you are feeling down)
