just saw this video after a long time, listen carefully at about 2.42...close your eyes and you'd think it is 2018

Not even close! I was there and it was a magical performance and one of the highlights of the night. It was the last show on the O2 run and the band were just having fun and taking requests in the encore. Yeah, it's completely unrehearsed and Jon is calling out the chords, but that's what makes it so special to me. That's the last time I saw the band, and if I never see them again, I'd be happy with that being the last one! I wish Bon Jovi 2018 had even a sprinkle of that kind of passion!

Am i the only one thinking that those "oooh" were pretty much thin head voice just Like he does today?

Nah not for me. The part you mentioned is probably the weakest part of that performance but he sounds 10x better on that than he does now.

I could genuinely watch that performance all day. The crowd are completely silent. The band are on form. The harmonies are amazing and Jon genuinely looked like he enjoyed performing it.

Why he doesn't attempt that sort of song now, I don't know.

That quote has gotta be pre 2000. Feel like the lead off single has been the first track too often lately.
