The Circle Tour, what a tour.

Wouldn’t get anything like that now.
Circle was a good tour despite album being poor but the WAN album and tour is the tour Jon must regret the most. It just wasn’t needed.

Yeah the whole WAN album/tour cycle was only needed because Jon wanted to make more money, there was no artistic drive behind it.
The Circle album, albeit half of it falling flat of it these days, still had some good songs. It just suffered from a piss poor production and Jon not being able to carry the songs vocally as much as they would've needed to be. However, some of those live performances, especially of Love's The Only Rule, were simply stunning!

Great concert.

Pretty spontaneously, I had decided to film some footage of the band's first German concert in Dresden 2011.
For years, I was hoping that a decent audio recording would turn up, but unlike for my recording of Munich two days later, it didn't happen.
So I've now decided to share it here anyway, even though the audio was a bit too loud for the camera and there's some nearby talking at times.
The setlist was packed with surprises and the most special one being Undivided for me since it reminded me of a hard time when my dad had been really ill. This was the first show just the two of us ever did together after his recovery and, for the only time since the Bounce tour, we got just that song here in Germany! It was tremendous!

Setlist:
1. Bounce [0:00]
2. Born To Be My Baby [2:45]
3. Superman Tonight [4:17]
4. Runaway [8:46]
5. No Apologies [13:49]
6. Bad Medicine [17:33]
7. Roadhouse Blues [21:39]
8. Bells Of Freedom (Acoustic) [24:52]
9. Someday I'll Be Saturday Night (Acoustic) [29:39]
10. Undivided [33:36]
11. Keep The Faith [37:30]
12. Something To Believe In [42:52]

Just listen to Richie's one minute guitar intro to Keep The Faith! He owned the song that night!

Fantastic Find!!! Thanks for sharing that... and yes, that guitar intro is killer... Just another reminder that Bon Jovi was once the best rock band in the world... That intro totally works especially with Jon screaming the song in. I wonder why they took it out.

They just keep watering down and taking away their little touches here and there over the course of 30 years... Most of it goes unnoticed until you look back...

Thank you so much. It impressed me at the time and it's still refreshing.

This coincided with the predictions where that the world would end on May 21, 2011. Jon played this cover as an answer. It was so cool.
