Does anyone know if they did remove the backing tracks with Richie's voice in it right after he left or did they carry on with the same ones?

Interesting question! I feel like on the leg that Phil joined there wouldn't be enough time to make a change but after that probably. Anyone know for sure? Wonder if we can rip the Rock in Rio audio and do some manipulating to hear the backing clearer.

Holy cow, THANK YOU for this!

EDIT: Really cool hearing the FAITH sample. It at least confirms what people are still denying.

Was this in the soundcheck link?

I seem to vaguely remember it having been mentioned around April '13 that some JT members who went to shows back then could still clearly hear Richie's voice on some of the backing vocal samples, so I think they indeed didn't have time to replace them immediately.

A concert that's always been a favourite of mine. Contrary to the 1993 tour, this time around the band actually really peaked when they hit North America for the summer tour and also for the remainder of 1995. Whereas the band and especially Jon's vocals had shown some signs of decline in the second half of 1993, this time around he actually upped his game from Europe even one step further. I'd actually go as far as saying that the summer/fall of 1995 was the band's best in their career. There still was some of that youthful energy and hunger left, but they were really refined and matured in terms of playing and it all slotted into gear. The band is absolutely on fire, in my book these shows were better than the Wembley release! Just listen to this Always performance!

Liking Youtube adding the song points to the timeline of the video with that one

They have used a lot of samples since at least 1993 plus backing tracks/playback in Prayer since at 1987.

The playback on Prayer has been used since '86.

Are you aware that there is a full recording by Paragon that contains the last 2 songs?

Yes. I think I got both audio and video transfers of that night from you :)
Unfortunately, I don't think there's a complete video of the show. I could've added the last two songs as audio only, but I didn't remember that bootleg until I was already typing the setlist after the upload

The demo of Prayer is pretty interesting. Alec is nowhere to be found, there isn't a guitar solo, and Jon doesn't go for the high notes here, it's David hitting them.

Ohhhh that's been around for awhile, it's on the box set too. I THINK it's Richie doing the high parts though.

EDIT: Sounds like both Richie and David singing the same part in the chorus.
