Thank you! Not sure if I misinterpreted what he said, but what was played was the studio version down a semitone, so I don't get what he means by they recorded soundcheck.

This one is rather one for the diehards to enjoy! But I guess that's what most of us here are anyway :) Anyone collecting shows from that era has a rough idea how some of them sound.
However, a show that's even been a standout even in 1996 needs to be here!
Once you get past the recording's quality, you're in for one hell of a ride! People were often wondering why the band chose Zurich for their Crush tour release. This show was the reason! It had been raining all day and the band didn't seem to expect much, but the crowd was in an insanely great party mood and fueled the band and vice versa! Just listen to them chanting in the minute before the band returns with Rockin' In The Free World!
When looking at the setlist structure of that tour (I've been doing so the past week, preparing the These Days section for our touring archive website), it's obvious that the band just decided to play it all on the spot from the second encore onwards. At the end, they had fired past the curfew and were told they had to stop which Jon even tells the audience with some regret after the final song.

Setlist:
01. Marching Band Intro [0:00]
02. Lay Your Hands On Me [1:27]
03. Bad Medicine [5:52]
~ Gloria [9:30]
04. All I Want Is Everything [12:45]

08. Bed Of Roses [27:55]
09. Rockin' All Over The World [36:09]
10. Blood On Blood [40:11]
11. I'd Die For You [46:03]
12. Dry County [50:52]
13. Damned [1:01:38]
~ If Loving You Is Wrong [1:03:38]
14. Wanted Dead Or Alive (acoustic) [1:07:41]
15. I'll Be There For You (acoustic) [1:12:39]
16. In These Arms (acoustic) [1:19:18]
17. Something For The Pain [1:24:12]

Good old British Summer Time weather ruined my 96 MK Bowl (1st night)
It rained all day and then the wind came.
By time Jovi come on the back drop was swaying in the wind and when the band started you could hardly hear a thing as the wind took the sound up and back down the motorway!

It was freezing as well.
