Thanks for the civil reply. I was getting a bit tired of the "f off"'s

and in my opinion, Seb just has very high standards for Bon Jovi. Because he KNOWS and has SEEN them do better. If everyone had such high expectations (incl backstage) I'm sure that they would have improved. Instead, most people just seam to lap up everything they release.

The whole Bieber - Timberlake, Gaga - Madonna stuff is just Jon making fun onstage. I'm surprised that it might cause such discussion. I also hate this pop shit but one should behave when discussing a topic on a public forum...

What is Jon trying to say is that there were some pop stars and now there are some different but it is still the same. On the other hand they are still there, no need to change if everything stays the same. He has always declared himself as a rock artist as opposed to pop, even if he is doing everything to be as popular and demanded as the pop shit is.

It causes discussion because it proves ONCE MORE that Jon is an idiot, which is sad and disappointing really.

Plus Supersonic, (just like me), doesn't stop at having an opinion, he's stating the truth (and facts) so whenever we post, it's to enlighten people, certainly not to start a debate so please stop arguing.

You sound like an utter twat.

This is the only time I'd Die For You has been played in 2011, atleast until today.

This is my all time fav Bon Jovi song, I'm just upset that Bobby destroyed the solo, it sucks that they play this song very rarely, and the only time I got to see it live was with a botched solo

anyways enjoy

Thank you!!! I don't know if anyone else picked up on this but what Jon said is the truth. The song was The More Things Change, The More They Stay the same?? Hello, then he starts saying that before Lady Gaga, there was Madonna, before Justin Bieber, Justin Timberlake etc etc. It's exactly what he is singing about. He is not making fun of them, just stating the truth.

That's what you think. Jon knows what he is talking about.

Is there a video of Jon giving someone the finger at the last MSG show. I was there and would love to see it again.

I'd be surprised too, except this board's need to constantly debate everything.
Jon does this often, it's schtick, like some of the other stuff he does. If you ask him in an everyday moment what he thinks of these people, he won't bash them or call them out, but on stage where he "shows off", here come the soundbites. He had a 'I may not be as young as Justin Timberlake, but..' bit going on too.

Anyway I don't dislike Gaga, in fact I think some of her songs are quite good, in the sense that they are insanely catchy, a cut above the pop songs that aren't even catchy, of which there is quite a lot actually.

I do kinda find it annoying that the stock defense of her fans is "You should see her play the piano". Yeah, well she doesn't do that very often, does she? If she did, her new video wouldn't be 4 minutes of her 'getting born', and then 4 more of dancing around with 50 backup dancers to bleeps and beats. THAT kind of thing is 'more of the same'. You'd think that if the kiddies have an attention span to sit through that, they could sit through some extended piano too. But no, the 'fashionista' part of her image is too important for that. As such, I can't blame someone taking a swipe at her.

And she might be a good songwriter, maybe there is an actual good song hiding behind the repetitively braindead simplicity of Just Dance, but since the 3 other people she collaborates with drowned the song in overproduction, we'll just never know. That is 'more of the same' too.

And yeah I know this is painfully off topic.
