That's not what I did either. The last huge hit Bon Jovi had was It's My Life, a song not written by him, no matter what Jon and Richie claim. Lady Gaga however co-wrote all her big hits. That's all I was saying. Jon is claiming Lady Gaga is just another one of those talentless pop artists, but she isn't. He's basing his opinion upon the assumptions he's making, just like you do. He's bitching about how artists don't write their own songs, yet he buys songs from other writers, gives them his own twist and claims he wrote them himself. How does that give him any right to bitch about others?

Britney Spears never had any credibilty. And nowadays whenever Britney Spears releases a new song everyone is pretty much saying there's nothing good about it, it's dated beats with an annoying autotuned voice. Christina Aguilera on the other hand has also been praised for her singing talent as she can pretty much sing anything, unlike Jon who struggles with his own songs, a thing Aguilera has never done. Bash her all you want, she has more vocal talent than Jon does.

If you can't compare a rock star who's been around for 30 years to a pop star who's only just getting started, then what gives Jon the right to bash the artists? He was there once, and if he'd be true to himself he'd know it's hard to break through. Instead of just picking on Britney Spears and Bieber he drags in artists who did work for it and do have talent. And that's just taking a cheap shot.

I never said Gaga has more talent than Jon does, it's you who's incapable of reading replies and taking in what's being said. You twist my words around just to stir up an argument, yet you lose it every time I actually reply to you. You make a big deal of making me look like an idiot, yet all I have to do is reply to you and you're back to where you started. Instead of trying so hard to "make me look like an idiot" it'd be smart to actually read the replies you're quoting, because then you'd realize that all you claim I'm doing is just in your head, instead of on this messageboard.

The reason why Jon knocks these people Seb is because they have no talent and only end up being around for 2-5 years max.Jon sweated his ass off and came up with Slippery When Wet,When the pressure was on the boys came up with New Jersey....the pattern follows from there.

I've been a fan of these guys forever, I grew up in their back yard just one town over, I've seen their careers go though peaks and valleys of which I've stuck by 100% of the way. I'd be the first to call them out on any lack of effort and as a diehard fan I have that right (I'm always ripping Jon on his vocals). But I do it in a "Positive Critical" or "Joking" way because I have "Respect" for the band.

Everyone has their opinion which I could appreciate but when someone crosses that line of respect is when I jump in. This Seb character happens to do that all the time, not only with the band but to other fans on here who state their opinions as well.

Understand, this isn't a 20 year old Jon trying to make his mark in music anymore. He's pretty much accomplished all his goals at this point (with the exception of the RnR HOF). He's now a 50 year old man with a wife and family of 4 kids. He's old, his priorities shifted, and he's going to take shortcuts. He doesn't want or even need to compete with Lady Gaga. But somehow, he's still doing it and "WINNING"

I'm lucky to still have this band around after 27+ years. They are still relevant. Their albums are still hitting #1, selling decently compared to the rest of the music world (all of post 2000, not just TC), getting modest radio air play with modest hits, and they are selling out stadiums. Give me five other bands who could do all that.

IML wasn't the last big hit in America. WSYCGH was. And HAND & Memory were modest hits. So The Circle fell flat. Big freakin deal at this point. I think the album is great and they rocked it at MSG. BON JOVI are F-ing Great and I'm proud to follow this band.

Lady gaga is a FULL artist with all the required skills AND MORE ...you can dislike what she does but to think she is a manufactured product that cannot sing or make music is absolutely wrong .. she is in charge profesionally of her image more than Jon himself

Lady gaga may annoy you with her flamboyant style but she is a major artist and I think all her peers in the business KNOW THAT (including Jon).

I think Jon banter/rant about young and popular artists is half bitterness (not easy to see you will be seen as old by the younger audience ... THIS IS mandatory... to accept this is cool to become bitter about it is NOT younger artist don't do like you but that doesn't make what they do sh!t ... jon style when he was young was not the same as older artists from back then and ppl made fun of his hair and his clothes and high pitch voice asking is it a woman or man but this is how things are ) and I also think half of the reason is that he is saying WHAT THE AUDIENCE WANNA HEAR (I love this town you are the best audience I am here to shake my butt blah blah blah that sort of speech to please the audience ... I am sure it is NOT really HIM who really thinks lady gaga is lyp sync but he knows part of his audience is narrow minded enough to feel this way ...

Though I think to complain that way is accepting the fact he is entering a form of nostalgia artists with nostalgia audience crying upon the good old days....

Seb doesn't like Lady Gaga, but she writes her own music, and started from the bottom of the barrel. She started as a rock singer, then started writing music for different artists as a song writer. She went to school for music. She got recognized and went from there. Her musical journey started in 2003 and didn't get recognized until 2008. How the **** does that mean she didn't work hard?

I strongly dislike her music, only because I strongly dislike currant pop music. That however does NOT mean that I can't respect certain people in the music business for what they do.

When are we all going to grow up! Can we somehow bring the thread back to its original subject even though there is not much in the way of videos being posted. As far as certain posters saying Jon is bitter goes I say get the hell out of here. There is no reason why he should be. I say he has every right to say what he says during TMTC and if you think he is putting them down maybe you need the help.

What happened to civility - or respecting different opinions?

I have spent about 8 years here telling Seb I don't agree with him but you know what - we still manage to have civil discussions. Those of us with these signatures will be traveling together this summer to many of the European shows. That kind of indicates that we are big fans doesn't it? Why the f uck would we spend so much money if we weren't.
