I agree he does overdo it at times but for the most part he gets away with it because he sounds good. If most people (e.g.Jon) did that the result would be terrible.

Video Description and Uploaders Story:

Jam session with JBJ and some fans at the End-Of-Tour-Private Party that the Band had in Lisbon, the day before the last show of the tour.

This event was to celebrate the end of the "The Circle 2010-2011 world tour" (a massive 18 months long tour!) and was attended by the entire crew and band; special commemorative Slippery When Wet necklaces and medals have been given to the crew during the event.
Some fans (each one from a different European country) and a few brave Italians have been invited as well.

The guys from Italy have been invited because of the massive choreography that most Italian Fan Club organized in Udine, on July 17 (check out some of my videos of it). We've been lucky enough to represent Italian fans to this special event!

Max, man in charge of the entire choreography, President of BJCI (Bon Jovi Club Italy) and great friend, this one is for you!

The party was held in a theatre in Lisbon and lasted all night long with dinner, lotta drinks and live music with Bobby Bandiera, Hugh McDonalds and some other musicians.

As far as I remember that's the story behind this video:
...I was having a drink with Kurt, JB's guitar tech, when I heard "Max, Luca, Italian friends...come up on stage!"
Jon Bon Jovi was on stage, with Bobby, Hugh and Obie O'Brien (on the drums) and was calling some fans to sing "Gloria".
I left Kurt and jumped on stage, off course! We were 5 or 6, I guess, but as the song went on, everybody was on stage! I was actually the only one with a microphone close to me (Hugh's one) and started singing backing vocals to JB and Bobby, just like I do with as guitar player in my Bon Jovi Tribute Band (by the way: check us on You Tube and Facebook: Sex Sells Bon Jovi Tribute)

As a proof of that (especially for my keyboard player that believes I'm not a good singer!)...I included subtitles of my short chat with JBJ! Make sure to turn them on on the video
