Great full band interview done for Much Music for KTF. About 5 minutes in they talk about the production process for the album - and it's basically everything the diehards want the band to do nowadays:

Hah! Good stuff! But Jon's hair must have been at it's very worst there...what the **** was Jon thinking when people were going Metallica, Guns N' Roses and Nirvana...he comes out with that hair?!? Bloody hell....well, luckily it was very short-lived....

Those were such great times.

As far as the hair goes, it really wasn't that bad. You're looking back at it in 2014 but during that time, it actually worked. You using the wrong artists to compare it all to too. You have to look at the entire genre as a whole. His hair was in style and that professional style that he had done was really short lived too.... After the KTF Video, An Evening With BJ, and some early promos, that style started to fade away. By the BOR video, his hair was much more tame.

The best part of the interview was Jon talking about writing & producing the Hall and Oats song So Close....

I actually really like Jon's work as a producer. He did a great job with Aldo Nova's album too.

You either love it or hate it but that overproduced 80's sound really works well with my tastes.

I doubt we'll ever get that second box set but a demo of Jon's vocals on So Close would be a great addition, if one actually exists.

Great stuff, and only 2-3 years ago...

Underrated song I feel. Also, is Jon wearing one of those star shirts he used to wear in the 90's?? Cool....
