It was among his best efforts in 2011. I wouldn't take Munich as a comparison since I think he wasn't really up to his game there. He tried hard, but never found his way into the show (at least for me). In Dresden and Mannheim he was on a much higher level. Still, I agree with you that all those shows piss over what we heard in 2013 (maye bar Cologne and Milan). |

Ended up watching the full show from that link today. Really is a brilliant performance. I enjoyed the Manchester gig the night before but that was 10x better and it was almost like it was 2 different bands. Jon was just quality all night, as were the whole band. If only the band were like this every night!!

Still think HP 2011 is pretty much the perfect modern day Bon Jovi show and setlist, swap Runaway in for Hallelujah and it's all good.
The encore was great though, I was convinced many times whilst there that it was over and they just kept going. This concert being so good led to me being so disappointed with the 2013 gig there, utterly paled in comparison. |

But speaking of HP 2013, it was one of their biggest shows of the tour (along with Slane, Milan, Cologne and the NJ shows), so Jon did sort of 'peaked' by that tour's standards and sounded somewhat decent, and it was still a tad worse than the previous tour. But it energy-wise and setlist-wise (in terms of variation) it wasn't even close to what was considered the 'norm' for 2010-11. |
