You could hear in the beginning that they thought Something To Believe In would be played.

Same song, performed in Sydney 3 years earlier. Such passion from Jon.

The vocal power he had in Cleveland was suddenly gone by the next leg.

That was by far the best Happy Now performance they pulled off, ironcially, they launched into it straight after STBI that night and Jon was into that one as well.

Even his speaking voice has changed so much.

He's starting to write which means an album will be out by next year... most likely

Killing time on this rainy Sunday with two wonderful vintage videos:

Livin' On A Prayer from Nassau 1987 (also known as the MTV Awards Version):
You can hear them using the playback track during the choruses, but the energy is nothing but breathtaking!
Also shows why especially LOAP was bound to be played to a click track at the same tempo pretty much from the beginning.

Midnight Rider ~ Wanted Dead Or Alive from Stockholm 1993:
It doesn't get any better! Jon's vocal effort on Midnight Rider and the sheer energy blows me away each time I watch this.

Of the sweet wonderful memories of old! This was my very first BJ gig that I went to. To this day definitely in my top 3 of the shows I've seen with them.

I truly envy you for having seen this gig, can't think of much better to be honest (though my first gig in Munich 2003 was out of this world as well, I haven't seen much even remotely close to this - not even bootleg wise)...

Hey God from Anaheim 2010:
Best version in recent years - even better than Mannheim. Jon's vocals are great and the band play really tight - in the end you think Tico wants to tear his drumkit apart :D
