The first few songs were bland and I didn't like it at all and after Lost Highway there was close to ZERO crowd response when Jon asked the audience if they were "with him".
The way he then turned into the "I'm-gonna-win-each-one-of-you-over" rockstar instead of our well-feared, moody Jon truly made an impression on me. He worked like a maniac on stage that night, giving 130% and by the end of the concert he had the audience eating out of his hand. They played for 190 minutes and even thought the setlist was quite bland it was the best of the last 3 Munich shows!
I personally preferred Cologne, but that may have been due to the excellent song selection :)

True story!
When Richie quit, I really thought about selling my ticket. But my girlfriend wanted to go and so I agreed to at least have a couple of days far away from work in Munich. I wasn't too enthusiastic as well...but the band really played their asses off. Just like my bro said, 130 %!

It's really a crime against humanity that most music fans (incl. most non-diehard Bon Jovi fans) will never know how amazing this band was in that period. Sure, we had some great live moments in 2000s and they were still very good for most of that time, but it's a shame that the public perception of Bon Jovi is not one that takes into account the KTF tour, whereas for example U2 get the full credit for being incredible during The Joshua Tree tour.

One of the best concerts by any artist or band. It makes the 1995-1996 Bon Jovi look like shit in comparison.

IMO the best shows from the KTF tour and from their entire career, came from April-May 1993. The whole European leg from 1993 was freaking amazing...I mean their energy was just through the roof. I have no ideea how they managed to play like that during those 2 months, it was like they were playing as if their lifes were at steak every freaking night.

Watched some parts of the band's TLFR concert yesterday and discovered that, while I still don't like the majority of the songs, there are some gold ones on there as well.
Everyday is much better in that version - it actually has a melody:

Sylvia's Mother - great cover, but also great song on its own:

Also the performance of Bad Name (which I quite like in that bluesy version) pisses all over what they did at the unplugged show. Besides that it still isn't my cup of tea though, but these are immensely enjoyable.

August 7, 4:15 in an acoustic version from a radio promo show in Allentown '97:

Jon does some talking about where the song came from before starting it. Very aggrieving performance.
