This is incredible. 2010/2011 was such a great time to be a Bon Jovi fan.

The Circle tour was 7 long years ago... Jon was 48 which is that pivotal age... You're putting together a greatest hits montage which are the moments that keep me around... but let's be realists here and recognize that there are some equally bad ones too... Bad Vocals, Auto Pilot, and Bad Performances... Let's all watch Working Man and puke...

While I agree that there are some bad performances from that time (NJ might 4, for instance), there are also a LOT of moments like those we are sharing during that cicle. Those moments were very rare during the 2013 tour, non-existent during the 2015 mini-tour and, judging by Jon's current state and Richie's absence, will not be happening again during this tour.

I went to multiple shows in 2008, 2010 and 2011, and only on two of them (Dusseldorf and Zurich 2011) I wasn't blown away. So I ask you: can you show me ONE of those "highlights" from the current tour ? I'm not asking for something perfect vocally or anything, but a moment when Jon went crazy and carried everyone with him like he used to do very frequently until 2011.

It's a fact that people still have fun and enjoy going to a Bon Jovi show, but you have to be completely blind and deaf in order not to notice that the decline has been steep.

Again, Bon Jovi does have a legacy of being one of the best bands on stage, so yes, I'll keep comparing today's shows with shows from 6 or 7 years ago. To be honest, I don't know any other artist or band that went from brillant to such a bad shape in just 6 years.

But no one is arguing there is a decline. You're asking for an example of a show stopping moment a few shows in a tour versus a full Circle tour. RD isn't wrong, there were issues with that setlist too in North America. There's always been issues, there's always been crap and there's always been gold. This time around his voice is in such a rough shape he's not doing anything else that's shaking it up and I wish he would.

My point is ... there were a lot less bad moments (even in the USA legs) and a lot more good moments in 2010/11 than there are now. I'm not talking about setlists only, but the overall performance that used to be a lot better !

yeah, agree. whatever perspective, it's all good!

and the decline: well, there are still fans out there who enjoy this so I've decided to stop bitching and restating the obvious facts. live concerts are not only about the voice and even if it's more to do with nostalgia than the actual energy on stage, then let be it!

and the vid was quite enjoyable with that "love confession" at the end haha saw a couple of vids where they switched places (God, Jon does suck at the drums lol) and it makes me love the band even more <3

I agree. After five or six shows the setlists became very predictible on the US Leg in 2010 as well, but I still listen to many of those bootlegs frequently since the band was just sounding so good and there was some energy to it, especially on songs like LTOR.

Again from 2010: Two of the best Saturday Night versions I've heard - amazing middle sections!!!

No one is denying the decline however you can't compare a full tour to only 5 US shows...

Jon is different now but different doesn't mean bad... it's a change... Richie's not there, his voice is shot, he's got gray hair, and his stage shows are different but it didn't mean that it's not enjoyable... For us die hard, it's easy for us to look back and compare... but for casuals, this is all they know and they enjoy it... what you guys are doing with 2010, I did in 1995 with 1989...
