Thanks guys! I'm not getting tired of watching Richie performing Homebound Train. What a cool solo...he seems to have fun with his new toy

This moment will be the highlight of the show I'm going to, no doubt about it. You better play it Mr Sambora!

Pro shot footage of Loves The Only Rule, not sure which show.

Thanks, nice to see a pro shot.

Jon sounds good when he is singing in the mid range. Shame that the upper range is coming out so nasal... something he needs to work on. If he can sort that out performances like this would sound infinitely better.

Still overall good performance from the band.

We were discussing this on another site. I'm certain that none of this show was shown on TV. I live here and would have recorded it - and I was at the show.

Since the YT site it's on is the official IZOD site it was speculated that it was pro-shot video provided to them by TBJ for their promo spots.

Um, interesting. It's very odd, it's took seven years to surface.... I wonder if the guys keep all the concert footage in an archive or not.

It also shows what a stupid set up the inner circle crap is,and how far away they seem from the rest of the crowd

The inner circle and all the seats suck, it's too confined for me. Long live the stadium shows

I've given up commenting on the American crowds because you get jumped on around here for it. But man, do they put sleeping pills in the Pepsi at these shows?

gabriele 03-12-2010 07:58 PM

At the risk of getting into a pissing contest, try and understand a couple of things about the US....We work more hours here than any other country in the world....By far in fact. We work very long days, have very little time off. Just saying. I've been to shows before where I was just dead on my feet.

That may be a slight factor. I'd say the average age of an American audience is much higher than the rest of the world too.

I recently read a post about the audience differences on a blog, and I really think the author hit the mark - http://jovijunction.blogspot.com/201...jovi-girl.html.

I've seen video from European shows, and the ones from the "Golden Circle" (or whatever it's called in each country) are amazing. I've also seen ones from the back of the field and from the seats, and they aren't so amazing. People are chatting and walking around. They're going for a pee/beer break just like here. Your seating system concentrates the diehards in the front, and sadly, ours does not.

Well in the UK the most expensive seats are in the gold circle but the price isn't much higher than a standard ticket. It'll be interesting to see how the London O2 shows go as it's the first time the American seating system has been used in the UK. They have out priced a lot of people, especially with the floor seats.

And this my friend is really the crux of the situation.

Bruce does GA up front - so if you are a diehard (either American or European - it happens wherever Bruce plays) you can be up front if you are willing to (or can) stand in line early the day of the show.

Bon Jovi only did that during the 2006 summer shows here and you should have heard the bitching and moaning. Oh I can't stand up that long - oh my back hurts - and on and on. Personally I loved it - I was right up front Giants night 2 when Jon sang Dry County - right to me (thanks Kev) :D

The thing that all those people bitching didn't understand was that times had changed. They wanted the fanclub seats assigned right up front the way they had always had them. So they complained enough to get rid of the GA up front and now - all the front SEATS are being sold for tour packages and in auctions for very high prices. The people who can afford those seats are probably not going to be the people who will get into the show in a big way.

And don't bash the old people - you won't catch me sitting down at a concert unless it's the symphony. And believe me - I know every word of every song.

You're right -- it will be interesting to see how it goes. Those prices weren't just insane, they were criminally so, IMHO.

Sounds good, but talk about a butchering of lyrics... though frankly I always thought the "you lost more than that in my backseat baby" line was obnoxious anyways and don't miss it.

As someone who grew up when cars had backseats big enough to lose anything in - I always liked that line LOL.

Maybe it's because my beat up Camry and I have spent our nights on Butler street in the dark all alone as of late. More likely it's because my backseat is a public health hazard of trash from Wawa, golf clubs, occasionally an Airedale Terrier, as well as some half-assed lab reports. So I've never really been able to entice a girl- those opportunities are rare enough these days- to lose much of anything in my backseat, except any interest they had in me to begin with. So Jonny can huskily sing about having sexual romps in the backseat of a car. I'll be inside watching Local on the 8s.

Nevertheless, point taken :p

kenobi_on_a_prayer 03-13-2010 10:28 AM

I remember once being offered the chance to lose something in the backseat and refusing. Apart from the fact that it looked like an awfully uncomfortable place to rush off to in the middle of the night, was that guy seriously begging to have some chick's blood all over his new car? Idiot.:p

Nevertheless I say keep the line, it makes the song what it is.;)

Kattitude 03-13-2010 12:36 PM

LOL the backseat was the place back in the day.

I love that line.

This sucks.. I've tried different browsers so it's definitely on their end. I wonder why it works for Severo though.

I don't generally sit around watching You Tube as much as you'd think I would...now that i actually want to this morning it turns into a still photo gallery.
