I'm going to a Richie concert in Amsterdam with my friend, so that would help get him hyped up.

I THINK the uploader has removed it from youtube. Did anyone happen to save it that they would reupload maybe?

Look at the glaring look Jon gives Richie here when they balls it up just before the solo at 4:20! HAHA!

They were so ****ed up at that point - and that concert shows it better than any other document of that era for me. Just look at Jon's face towards Richie right before he hits the solo of LOAP.

I've seen that look in Amsterdam in 2005. Oh, and in New Jersey in 2010. Not much has changed, eh? :p

I dont think it was Richie at fault for that cock up though. Sounded like Alec. But shit they look knackered in this concert. A jaded and exhausted Bon Jovi in 1990 still has 1000 times more energy than Bon Jovi in 2012

This has been covered before, he gives the look to whoever cuts out his mic, probably. But a few seconds later smiles and just wags his finger at the person.

With the bandanna and the hair I doubt it could be 1993. The performance would have to be at the end of the NJ tour right?

I'd never seen this one, it looks like a semi-official video release because the audio is professionally mixed with various shots filmed backstage. It's from the show in Taipei on September 23, 1993, by the way.

You can see the 1993 backstage pass. Who is the guy who sings with them? Good video...

He wore such a bandana on the 2nd leg of the European tour in '93 a lot and the Asian leg was right before I think. Also the vest ist typical for the KTF tour, I remember seeing bootlegs of Vienna, Melbourne and Kiel where he wore exactly that one.
I have no idea who that guy singing with them is though...maybe some sort of contest winner?

You're right - I had forgotten that. I just went and looked at Buenos Aires 93 (which was almost the end of the tour) and he was wearing that bandana then.

This is something I would love to hear in Munich in a week from now - Richie doing Mr. Bluesman!
Great acoustic rendition from Melbourne 1998:

While I totally agree with you regarding Richie (his performance during the 2nd half of DC is mind-blowing), the one thing that has been amazing me most recently are the brilliant, brilliant keyboard intros during DC performances of that era.

This one from Seoul, 1995 is equally great:

Personally, 1995 is my favourite Bon Jovi period. As far as I'm concerned, every single band member was at the peak of his powers and the musical chemistry between them was perfect.

nickolai 10-07-2012 11:15 AM

Wow. Only just found this. A proper rare treat. Bon Jovi ( or possibly just Jon) performing Bed Of Roses for probably the first time in 1991. You can tell it isn't the finished article and they're just trying it out. The raw emotion behind it is unbelievable. Gives you goose bumps. It's only audio. Enjoy:

LOVE this. The extended outro gets me every time. But yeah, full band.

Killer acoustic performance of I'd Die For You! What a moment that must have been...ending the TD tour that way...oh if I could turn back time :(

Anyone? It must have been a recent interview from my memory.

This is just plain awesome. I love Keep the Faith era. If anybody has this show and is willing to share, I'd be willing to take a PM. Just sayin'. :D

Walleris 10-18-2012 08:19 AM

I know a lot of you folks were there in person and some of you probably saw this performance already, but I still felt like sharing it because of the second solo. From the 6:50 onwards. IDK about you guys, but for me it's the same Richie I first fell in love when I was watching the Wembley videos just as I was getting into Jovi :)

Obviousley I have been watching Richies latest YOUTUBE clips which are fantastic, but to put his latest ones onto perspectice on how good he is, take a look at this one, apologies if its a repost, but check out how "out of it" Richie is, some words even come out garbled. Jon must have been squirming inside....Richie is in a much better place today, and long may it continue!!!!:D

kleman 10-27-2012 08:03 PM
