That's not the real cast Becky. You were too busy looking at Jon to notice the other cast members.

Becky 08-01-2015 09:32 PM

I never watched the original show and I have prosopagnosia so I wouldn't recognize the original cast anyway.

Rare and amazing live performance of Never Say Die from Count Basie Theatre.

2.25-3.10 was one of the most embarrassing Bon Jovi moments, in my opinion.

Pathetic. Especially for being a song that is talking about a serious social issue ... the choreographed, it is as false and artificial, very bad.

Agreed. I've never cringed so much. It randomly came into my head this morning so I thought I'd give it a watch to see if I found it any easier to watch. I didn't. I found it much worse.

LOL Richie and Hugh synchronized walk towards Jon :D

As far as Bon Jovi trying a choreographed routine, that was it!

BTW, I believe that song could've worked well live if it was played in original key.

Ouch! It hurts! There were better at it (choregraphy, theatrics, staged moves, whatever you may call it) in their younger years.

Because We Can

This must be from some rehearsal. You can hear some acapella, a little bit of Richie singing and other parts.

Old Joysey 08-16-2015 06:37 PM

Yeah, sounds like a soundcheck, if it's genuine... It does sound like Jon and Richie but... "I don't wanna be another GRAVE in the ocean"?

And at the very end it's only Hugh vocals. Quite cool, never heard his voice seperated on a Bon Jovi track.

It's from the soundcheck they did before their promo show in Stuttgart 2013. The stream was accidently open for a few minutes about an hour before the show. That's where this leak stems from.

Sometimes I can really relate to the lyrics :D.The part where he got his ass kicked by the ugly brother had me giggle a little bit :)).

Oh I have listened him seperated once again in a live Tv show in IML. For some reason his voice was way too loud. He sings Jon vocals but one octave up!

I just watched that 'Superstition' cover Jon did in Canada and then came here to watch this... Man, you have to question if that's even the same person.

I ask myself that many times. His voice, his attitude, his hair...even when he smiles he doesn't look like the same guy.

Check out the end of Always from 4:00 minutes forward from that MSG link posted above... Those vocals and that performance are the reason why I'm still here today. But where did that guy go? I get that we all age but come on.

Although Burning Bridges had some unexpected surprise moments and maybe even a few gems, I still get more excited for vault material verses new releases.

I just watched it and it just doesn't feel right. Jon said KOS are his fun band but that just doesn't look like fun.

They actually did it two or three times on that tour - already on the opening stint in Honolulu ;)
I still wish Jon would've sticked to his promise of playing more really old songs longer that just about 5 tour shows.

The best thing is that is sounds great! I'd take it on any setlist any time.

Also, look at Richie's face, Hugh's too! Seems they're enjoying playing that one.

Jon looking very happy too, especially at the end of song. He calls his band the Kings of Suburbia, his band of fun, but damn it, they're light years away from doing something as exciting and fun as this performance.

I was at that concert and it was an incredible show all the way around. I was lucky :)

I was also at the 2010 Philadelphia show when they sang Only Lonely - it was a real treat. Richie even sang Homebound Train.

Tokyo 2001. Jon looks pretty tired but it's such a great show. I love this era of the band, great performance of Always too!!

While going through a pile of old tapes last night I stumbled across this recording that I had never heard before:
(This Time)
It's Jon and it supposedly stems from his Powerstation era.

Awesome Find! I never even knew this existed. Any other rare stuff on those tapes?
