a few weeks ago (beginning of september) I saw a guy on instagram posting he met Jon for some shooting and that guy was the cameraman behind that recording (the man is a rap artist too but on that meeting he was doing his main job:cameraman)

The most interesting thing about this video is that finally David is high or let's say not low in the mix so we can hear him belting out the songs.

After hearing Dave sing BOR a few weeks ago, whatever little interest I had in him as a vocalist is now gone!!!

Yeah, I was let down as well. Anyway, I've heard him sing many times and it's been great. I don't know what happened at that concert.
My point was that we can see him giving his all to the singing but he is so low in the mix so it's barely audible. At a show of a different band, the mic was on normal level so finally his force given to the singin corresponds with what we hear.

As shit as Jon's voice is now - its not a patch on 1987 at Largo. Jesus it was shot to pieces

That's not Shit imo. That's raw power in a literal sense.

The range is still there, the tone is still there, the passion is still there, the delivery is still there.... His chords are just raw.

Now it's just the complete opposite. His chords are fine but all of the other is completely gone.

And I believe this is a big part as to why Jon has to sing the way he does today

He's straining to get the higher notes in Wanted so here the range is gone. Key thing is he got it back a year later. Nowadays he not arsed about getting it back
