looks like there are some pro shots gems around hidden in the bands or outside individuals vaults.

There certainly are a lot of them hidden somewhere. The band has most of their shows from the 90's on and quite a few of the SWW and NJ tour stored in their vaults. Plus, there are tons of different videos from TV specials. ABC was allowed to show 5 or 6 songs from the 2nd night at Wembley in '95, MTV showed partials from Bremen, an Irish TV special had Pro Shot footage of Berlin - the list is endless. Most of the times these reports only featured footage from the first 4 or 5 songs, though.

Yea, BonJovi90 is the shit !! I wish more fans were like him. I get so pissed of when I see people claiming that they have shows/demos that aren't already on the web but they refuse to share them. I mean why would you do that? If i'd get my hands on something very rare that isn't already uploaded I would upload it myself in a heartbeat. I would be so happy to share rare stuff with other fans.

Thanks for these kind words, that actually is the reason why I share it. I know how excited I always get when something rare appears somewhere, so I wanna give back as good as I can. I've met a lot of great fans with the same spirit over the years. Ironically, the filmers are usually the ones you have a real hard time dealing with!

There is an insane collection. Rare Pro Shots from the old days sometimes appeared when non-union camera men took the tapes with them. Another example: there seem to be 3 Pro Shot recordings from the European Crush tour somewhere out there, but the owner wants an insane amount of money for them. Plus, I think that from 1987 onwards pretty much every concert was filmed by someone from someplace in the arena. Sadly, maybe 5% of these people had connections to trading circles and the rest never got out.
And there still are shows that seem to come out of nowhere - like that Pro Shot tape of Yokohama '91 which was supposed to be from Alec's old collection.

Can you tell me more about this please?

BTW, I've just posted something on our other tracker that you are maybe interested in :).

I don't know the person, but Dave had mentioned that issue once or twice to me in the past. He'll probably be able to tell you more. All I remember is that these are in the hands of a non-Jovi fan who only cares about making a fortune out of them...

Thanks, on my to check it out :)

Does the surprise in your 'Tracker' have anything to do with Count Basie performances from 1990???

No, Thierry was referring to something completely different with his post ;)

There was a guy offering a complete pro shot of Hyde Park 2003 but he wanted $10k for it. I do seem to recall he proved it's authenticity - can't remember exactly how now though.

No Way!!! Anything from 2000 forward is not worth 10K...

I'm not sure why people hide their collections... Nobody gives a crap about them besides other Bon Jovi fans which aren't apart of most people's everyday individual circle of population.

Even if you had a party, no one wants to listen to Bon Jovi the entire time, let alone Bon Jovi bootlegs... why not just share it with other fans so we could all discuss it...

As the band ages and falls out of mainstream popularly, their die hards start to diminish. What someone would have paid for a show 10 years, might be less in demand today, and even less than that 10 years from now...

Unless something tragic happens and Jon becomes all Elvis, most people aren't paying for these things because they hold no real value... It's not like packaged Star Wars vintage toys in a box... they are burnt recordings of bootlegs...

Nothing

Just a teaser. Seems like people want this. Will work some more on it before I put it up there.

Very nice job! Since I've lost hope that we'll ever get a proper sounding version from the official side, any fan improvement is more than welcomed. I had even passed this on to a guy working in a professional sound studio, but he said that it just couldn't be fixed properly from the recording that's around.

Never heard of that, but that's an insane amount of money!

What an awesome song. I totally forgot about it, my phone was on shuffle and this song popped up. Gosh what a range he had back then... I can't sing the chorus in the right key even in my ''good days''

Best song o the Box in my opinion....

Jon still showing that raw power which was lost somewhere in the mid to upper 90s.

That was beyond cool... Just to educate some fans, that guy is who you hear when you listen to the studio track of Runaway. Richie did not contribute to any of it which is probably one of the reasons why he hates the song so much.

That's a guitar solo that I've been listening to for 30 plus years now but it's interesting to watch someone else play it. I almost took it for granted but after watching Tim rumble through it, it really shows that it's not a simple solo by any means.

It would be really cool if Jon saw this and had Tim do the solo at a show. The only thing is, people might mistaken him for Huge.

Lucas_Roli 12-06-2015 04:33 PM

This is so cool !! A few years ago when I first gave it a listen I really disliked it for some reason. But i woke up this morning with the na na na's in my head and I just knew that it was from a BJ song that I couldn't remember so i checked out the whole boxset just to find this song.

rocknation 12-08-2015 01:10 AM

Tico is allegedly in the vicinity of this jam with Iron Maiden's Nicko McBrain -- but that damn cymbal is in the way, LOL

The only other performance of this cover. I balanced the sound out and sonically it's better than the Hammersmith performance, though Jon was more passionate during the latter. Still breathtaking to hear how good they used to be!!!

Jon's transformation from 1984 - 2015. Interesting to see.
Remarkable that from 2005 on he began to get older in his face. And from 2006 on the smile in his eyes was gone even when his lips smiled.
