Very good performance and Jon improvises some lines around 1:03!!!

Bon Jovi - Someday I'll Be Saturday Night (Omaha, Nebraska 2005 - Rant and scream!) - YouTube

This one had escaped me previously - pretty amazing performance!

bonjovi90 02-05-2016 11:37 PM

How I wish BJ had done a proper performance of the song in their heydays. Would've been massive.

Faceman 02-06-2016 03:07 PM

Awesome song. I was at that show! :)

Becky 02-06-2016 03:46 PM

OMG! The full Omaha show is on You Tube! I was at that show. That was the first Bon Jovi show I had seen in a while and a lot was riding on it for me--they had to prove to me that they still had it. And they certainly did. My signature pictures are from Omaha. I saw Bon Jovi and Keith about two or three weeks apart there. That show is one of the stand outs of all the shows I've ever seen because of what it meant to me.

I hear you Becky. That moment came for me in 2000 at the Continental Arena show close to home. I hadn't seen or heard about the band for 5 years by that time. And in the late 90s Bruce and his band came back and blew me away all over again. So I went to that show not expecting much and frankly expecting to be disappointed. Needless to say I was NOT disappointed then and I became a rededicated fan.

Rihanna singing Prayer on Ellen. She had said in her interview portion that it was her go-to karaoke song.

bonjovi90 02-07-2016 03:09 AM

That probably is one of the reasons why she sang it with Jon in 2010:

Jon and many others in Super Bowl 50 Opening Montage.

Also,

This is a write up about the Vanity Fair party. It appears that Jon performed there.

Vanity Fair: Vanity Fair has impressed the tech and media worlds the past few years with its high-profile New Establishment Summit. Now it’s looking to turn heads on Super Bowl weekend. Its invite-only party will feature Jon Bon Jovi at 345 Montgomery Street in downtown San Francisco. (We aren’t entirely sure what’s at that address, but the event starts at 7 pm.)

Mitakinen 02-10-2016 05:23 PM

Sorry if placed another time

bonjovi90 02-11-2016 12:22 AM

The band playing an outdoor show during the day in Iowa 1987. They tease the audience with a little bit of Walk This Way before launching into Runaway. Great energy back in the day!!!

Alyssa Milano talks about being starstruck by Jon.

Something Jovi related :). And a great memory.

I went to this last year when visiting Paul, Kathleen and Kat, together with Kev.

Bobby B and Lorenza P.

Love that keyboard part that Dave does at 5:11 !!! It makes the song even more epic, he definitely should start doing that again.

Nice post. Great memory this one. This looks like my footage is that right? ;)

bonjovi90 02-17-2016 12:52 AM

Jon starts the song on his acoustic guitar, but unlike in later years, sings it more ballad-like until the band kicks in. Great version!

Well this show wins the award for "Most annoying person standing near a taper". Dear god, I was punching myself in the face with the woman and her speedy gonzales impressions

Faceman 02-19-2016 07:18 PM

Great performance, really fun to watch.
But a slap in Richie's face when Jon sits alone with him at the edge and calls out Bobby to play the solo. It's a miracle that Richie didn't already leave the band at this point...

I get your point, but in this case Richie was already playing rhythm and was needed for that. Sure, Bobby could've taken over and Richie played the solo, but I think it was planned that way in advance, and not a big deal...

Lol at 7:50 :)))), that fat dude really doesn't give a f... but it's kind of true. I mean if I were at a BJ concert and i would really need to take a piss and they start playing WSYCGH, LH, Born to Follow etc. I would definitely go to the bathroom.

Btw, Jon looked prety pissed

bonjovi90 03-03-2016 01:22 PM

One of only three times the band played that tune on tour.

Lol at that dude at 2:00 saying "Is he gay?".
The performance was actually cool. I wish they'd bring this one back as an opener!! It would be freaking great.

I can't stand 'Who Says You Can't Go Home' and I hate it even more when Jennifer Nettles sings it too.

I hear you, but this was done in the US, where it's been a (big) hit, and country is (more) popular there... It's alright :-D

Richie, stress, smoking and alcohol ;).

I've always liked I got the girl, it seems like not many people appreciate it live but it looks like great fun! Those Crush era outfits from Jon and Richie are a trip

And realizing that's the year you graduated. From college. With your Master's degree. Yep, pass the Ben-gay and the Metamucil. I think I'll go sit on the porch in my rocking chair.

I've never enjoyed this song but it looks like the live versions are really fun to watch since they used to peform it with so much energy.

The YouTube User Damned TV posts some really great stuff. Great sound mixed with video...

Yeah, he does a great job. He was the one I worked together with when mixing the 30 Years of Rock'n'Roll CD set. Really skilled guy.
