I've always wondered why they didn't a high quality studio version of this song. |

The acoustic rendition shows the true potential that Superman Tonight has had. Even though I like most of the acoustic rendition (even heard one live in Stuttgart 2013), the Valentine's Day performance from 2011 is far better than any other. Simply due to the harmonies and the change of lead vocals near the end:

Thank You For Loving Me Wanted Dead Or Alive Someday I'll Be Saturday Night Just Older Livin' On A Prayer No real rarities (besides TYFLM), but f***, is that a fabulous five or what! Add to that Blood On Blood opening the show, In These Arms on the first part of the main set (before Bad Medicine) and Bed Of Roses + I'll Be There For You during the "Circle" section, and you've pretty much got as perfect of a BJ set as there can be with no ultra-rare songs. |
Definitely one of the best OWN tour gigs (at least for me) - Washington 2001:
https://youtu.be/PTZNXETViHQ Jon was on absolute fire during KTF, Saturday Night and IBTFY, just to name a few. The sound quality of the video is pretty muddy at first, but it gets better as the show goes along. |

Looking at this particular show now, it's freaking fantastic. However being there during that time, the show was just okay. Sure it had some moments but overall, I thought it lacked energy. I remember leaving with a disappointment. There is nothing like seeing this band in their home towns and after that, I decided to never see them again outside of that... |
Chapel Of Love - Jon played on the PIANO (it's about time) a one verse rendition prior to TYFLM - Maria Menounos NYE Wedding...
Hopefully she posts TYFLM in full (or at least until the part where I could mesh the two SBDs together) https://www.instagram.com/p/BdxudwrlPKM/ |

I know this will only appeal to certain fans of which I am one... But here is an awesome live version of King of the Mountain from back in the day

I gotta admit that I never really listened/watched it. From the top of my head St. Louis and New Jersey (2000) were my favourites from the US tour. I know they technically still were labelled as Crush tour, but the setlist structure and the stage were already quite identical to this one. In Europe Munich and Milton Keynes are probably the leaders for the 2001 shows. |

I really love this song done acoustic.. anyone know what kind of tuning and chords are on the guitar? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

https://youtu.be/TGONiJDB3Zk For me, Cologne was the best show of the European leg (I used to think it was Munich, but just a couple of weeks ago I decided to check THIS out - and yes, THIS was better): https://youtu.be/lcaK8-wC3RU |

About Munich - the way the show evolved that night was just epic and if there was a good bootleg of the night (full show), it'd probably be rated higher. During the show a thunderstorm erupted and the first flashed and rain drops started to come when the band was playing Something To Believe In which lead Jon to look up to the sky with a big grin. Afterwards he is said to have gone crazy in the pouring rain, adding more and more songs to the encores on the spot. Someday I'll be Saturday Night was a truly remarkable rendition (I think it was before the rain came): At the beginning of Prayer, you can see how the rain was pouring at that point (0:15-0:30): After that one (had been the third encore), the band was about to leave the stage, but Jon grabbed his guitar, shouting at them to return and they did a great rendition of I'll Be There For You (released on the 2010 NJ edition): Just the sheer dynamics of how the show progressed make me wish I had been there! |

On the Milton Keynes 2001 bootleg, Richie’s vocals are super high in the mix. The harmonies are mesmerizing. Gave me chills.

Could it be a feed from the video screens/sound desk that have been recorded by a Roadie and leaked?

The demo of Prayer. Jon didn't like it but Richie fought for it to be on the album and then added the talkbox and I think that also the bass line was also re-written. Anyways, Jon isn't singing the high notes here, it's Dave. Also, Alec is nowhere to be heard on this demo which is strange. |

Soundboard?
Does anyone have this in mp3 to share with me? I have never heard this version in that sound quality. |

If you look at the video screen on the BTBMB clip it seems to look like the output on the video is the same as the clip. You can tell as you see the video in the video in the video etc... |
Without a doubt, one of the BEST post-2k Prayer performances:
https://youtu.be/keZ0vigZz3Y The crowd participation towards the end gets me every time. |
For me, this was the highlight of the 3 Wembley gigs. |

So Maria Menounos posted the entire song of Thank You on her show. The only issue is, she's singing over most of it... Not a bad performance at all... Anyone want to test their editing skills and try and mix some sources together?

For me, definitely Jon's best vocal performance on any song since 2000/early '01 (besides STBI from the same show) - These Days from the legendary Sydney night #3:
https://youtu.be/q9RPebGaVyM I literally can't believe how good, strong, powerful, passionate and actually 90'S-LIKE his voice is here. Sure, the amount of rasp is a little less (he really belts out those last high notes, though), but... but... but... F*** it, I don't even know what to say. God, I miss those times. Pretty much everything was good (at least) in Joviland back then - I just wish we would've been able to appreciate it back then already as much as we do now, but instead, one of the things mentioned as a wish on the thread "Hopes/Wishes for the next tour", posted back in August 2011, was "an improvement in Jon's vocals". I mean, wasn't THAT enough? |

For once, step into MY time machine - it's October/November 2004!
I was just about to turn five years old and had just started becoming a Bon Jovi fan. In fact, I pretty much turned from a completely ignorant car-radio listener into a diehard fan within a couple weeks' time - the first BJ album I listened to was Cross Road, but after just a few spins I changed the disc in the player into These Days, and when I heard Hey God for the first time, that was it... the first BJ release I got myself straight was actually 100,000,000 BJFCBW, so thanks for buying yourself TD back in the nineties, dad - without your purchase I wouldn't be the Bon Jovi lunatic I am now! Anyway, back to the story. My dad found the TLFR Live DVD from a shopping center and, knowing that I liked Bon Jovi, decided to buy me a copy. You probably couldn't even imagine the excitement - almost anxiety - of a five-year-old Jovi fan when I got a phone call from dad: "I bought you a Bon Jovi DVD." My first question: "Is Prayer on it?" Dad: "Yeah..." Me: "Awesome, thanks! See you in the evening. Bye!" That 30-second phone call must be one of the happiest memories I have about my childhood - literally. Of course, the DVD was a little disappointing/confusing for me as a kid, because even though I was already a huge BJ fan - much bigger than my dad who actually "used to own" every album of the band there was back then from KTF on; after I discovered them, I decided to "borrow" them, and the poor guy still hasn't gotten them back... -, I had never heard of the TLFR album and was wondering why the songs sounded so different on the DVD than they did on CR, for instance. Another thought that crossed my mind even back then was: "Why does Jon sound so weird? His voice is so rough and raspy on the albums, so why does it sound like he's singing through his nose here?" I guess I noticed something early on that some BJ fans/"fans" still aren't aware of to this day... As the years went on, I learned to love the DVD dearly and nowadays I watch it frequently - at least 10 times a year (really!). On the other hand, I don't like the album (that I didn't get until mid-'06, btw) much, besides IML and BTBMB - maybe those kinds of intimate arrangements were kinda meant to be performed in front of an audience only. PS. However, now that I've learned about the band's set lists through the years, I have to say that the TLFR versions of BOR, Always and especially IBTFY didn't fit the sets on the HAND tour at all. For some strange reason, the "Shoot me remix" (as Seb used to call it) of BOR sounded way better + more fitting on the LH tour, though. I still wouldn't be very happy if it made its way back to the sets now, especially as Jon has proven that he still can do the original version justice. Here's my personal favorite from the DVD - Bad Name: https://youtu.be/U1fn6X3E0E4 That "And I can feel it IN MY BONES!!!" gives me chills every time. |
I can only imagine how confusing TLFR would be to a five year old fan! Great story. And I feel old because I attended those shows in my 20’s.

Great Always performance from Chicago 2010. Jon even throws in an extra “Yes I would” (2:48). Is this the last time he moved away from the mic stand and walked around during Always? 4:45-5:15 prior to the last solo is just awesome. Jon was feeling it that night!
