I have to agree... My older version had static. This is truly a nice upgrade...

First time I'm listening to this version properly.
It's pretty good.

I think it's just him (his attidude and his eyeliner like a cheetah...)

While there have been countless outstanding performances throughout the decades, this one definintely is one of my favourites!

Richie’s vocals, wow. God I miss the blend of their two voices together.

Funny thing, I still get the same reaction 18 (!) years later than I did when I first listened to the Crush DVD... when it comes to Jon's vocals, what a difference a mere 2-3 years made!

I don't tend to romanticize the past but that was a ****ing great performance because the backbone of BJ is there. It's not about Jon's vocals, or smile, or butt shaking, or even his ability to be a great frontman. It's not about Richie's playing, his backing vocals or the harmonies.

It's about them together, it can't be any other way. It just feels unnatural.

I keep telling you guys: Peanut butter is good. Chocolate is good. But a Reese's cup is the Real Thing. :)

(Yeah, I know. I mixed up marketing slogans - but ya gotta admit, it works!) ;)

WhamATC 12-05-2018 01:45 AM

Great version, I wish Jon sang more (Instead of audience) and that the audience was quieter though.
I really like the way he belts out "There ain't a ladder on the streets, Wo-no-no" at 4:12 especially.

It’s fun to see folks I’ve known for years and that I can call friends. Yes, they may not win any beauty contests but they are some of the smartest, most skilled and hardest working folks you will ever know.

Aloha !

That video made me sad and happy at the same time. Happy as in so many people clearly enjoy whatever incarnation is out there nowadays and sad as in the Bon Jovi tours really being a closed book for me. Oh well, I've had a good run. :)

It's also very easy to sit behind a keyboard and be judgemental about someone's looks. I've no idea why people feel the need to be harsh about something another person can't really change and is so personal to them when clearly the message in the video was to be cheerful and happy as opposed to whatever he took out of it.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

I certainly respect your honesty on knowing when to close the door on something you formerly enjoyed.

And nicely stated on not judging people. I do know that this crew works for lots of other artists/bands but when asked to come back for yet another Bon Jovi tour, if they are available, they always say yes. So there’s a loyalty there.

A friend told me that Mike Savas wasn't working in 2017-2018, I didn't see him last year in South America either and I almost didn't recognize him in the video with that Santa hat lol
he always was a kind person, then nice to see he was back for Japan-Australia.

Yovana no Mike started his own adventure/extreme vacation company so he’s not touring like he used to.

For friends of mine on the crew on a pro bono basis, yes. But again, as we are friends outside of Bon Jovi it did not have to do with that work. As you know these people work for many bands/artists in any given year and over the years.

Great acoustic start of SIBSN in my opinion. It's from some 2001 show.
I wish he continued with acoustic exactly that way.

The way he sang "Hey man" part haha.
