A very nice clip of Jon trying to remember how to play an acoustic version of Welcome to Wherever You Are from a small event in 2014. He sounds great, and the song sounds really nice in this format. Does anyone know of a good acoustic version of the song?

I really miss the old tone of his low/middle register - he still had it here... :( I remember Seb saying even back in 2014 that Jon "couldn't sing anymore", but back then it was still pretty much only the lack of high range, whereas nowadays it's the lack of everything his voice used to consist of in the first place.

You must studied Seb pretty hard. When will an in-depth analysis of his posts of the last 15 years be released? :p

I was at this show in Philly and I remember loving it. Though if I recall the Philly show from 2003 was incredible - a great KTF and Diamond Ring (which was hardly ever played at that time).

bah, this guy is not so faithful, he would have to sing worse if he wants to nail the thing.

I've been on a Have a Nice Day binge recently and thought I'd post a few great live versions:

HAND from Chicago in 2010 is the best I've heard:

These outro vocals on Bells of Freedom from Atlantic City in 2006 are cool (was this the show just after Richie and Heather split up?):

Wildflower - I'm probably the only one but I adore this song:

I Am - can't understand why this wasn't played more often; Jon seems to handle the vocals relatively easily:

Story of my Life is just cool (Jon looks so youthful in this video):

They key was massively dropped in order to pull it off live, I always assumed that was why.

Sure. It still sounded good like this though, in my opinion.

Saturday Night Gave Me Sunday Morning Video

Alphavictim 10-27-2019 05:30 PM

HAND is by far and away the best collection of songs the band has released since the "comeback" with Crush. The modern influence on the guitar tones and the songwriting also still worked and fit the band. While I do quite enjoy Walls, there's no way that people who like that style (but not BJ in general) are gonna be all about Bon Jovi's take on it.

I Am is also a terrific song. That live version drags quite a bit, though - too slow.

This is great, Rolo! Great images to represent the band today... I'm impressed!

(But I gotta say I'm surprised that you underscored it with the only song, released by the current band, that was co-written by the AWOL band member formerly known as the lead guitarist of Bon Jovi. Interesting choice, to say the least!) :D

Thanks Jackie. Maybe is not tue best but I always liked this song. Catchy and nice melody. In my mind, it could have been a decent single. About Richie, ok, I still miss the guy.

Full HD broadcast of Tokyo 2008:

I know this show got a lot of slack back in the day (mostly because of Jon having been in a really rough vocal shape for the period as well as Richie struggling at times), but nowadays when we've gotten shows that were absolutely abysmal vocally, such as Brisbane 2013, iHeart 2018 and this year's Rock In Rio, can this be classified as a bad show in all honesty anymore? I don't think so.

PS. The performance of Saturday Night was legendary in this show.

For its respective era, it wasn't good. If compared to nowadays, even Jon's singing on the SWW tour would've been good :D
But, besides the abysmal ending with ILTT and Captain Crash, the first half of the show was really nice there with a good flow and actually less staged than the MSG DVD.
And I always smile when Richie's voice cracks at the "I still ride" in Wanted and Jon turns around like "dude, are you okay?"

Dry County - Good version here with an ad-lib at the end.
Sad how this band have declined in less than 10 years.

We recorded this show and I never shared it. The woman behind us screamed (screached and howled) through the entire show AND dumped beer all over me right at the beginning of the show. Maybe I should re listen and see if it might be salvaged.

Was Terri there with you guys back then? I didn't know the story with the beer, but I'm pretty sure I have a recording of that night.

Is there a soundboard or good quality recording of the Any Other Day performance with Richie from the O2 in 2007? Preferably on Youtube. Only stuff I found was meh in terms of quality.

That's one of the live moments that still gives me chills. It was a new situation then that Richie missed a show and had problems. So his phenomenal comeback was a great moment.
I had similar feeling when I saw the band at the HOF show, to see them together was very moving for me. Unfortunately the performace was far worse.

It was, but when Richie and Jon joined the mic to sing the final chorus of When We Were Us, that's when it felt like what it's all about for me :)

Yeah that! Surprisingly When We Were Us was kinda the highlight of the performance. No messed up solos by Richie and kinda decent vocals.

Still don't get why Richie didn't use talkbox for IML and if that was the reason to exclude it from the official footage.

I'm confused, he used the talk box.

God, look at that little nod Jon and Richie give each other at 1:21.

Ohhh. Duh, yeah.

Honestly IML was the best performance of all of them. I don't think that the talk box had much to do with why it wasn't shown.
