The violin player, she's helping to sing the high notes not play them on the violin

LOL, See I told you they would also have a back-up for Jon for his screw-up.

So everyone has a back-up except for Tico. He rules!

It's not the Violin itself that's helping him with the high vocals, it Lorenza's voice. He's introducing the members when he says 'helping me out with the high vocals'.

Yeah, I was absolutely aware of this, but reading my post a few moments ago, I realised I didnt exactly write down what I thought I was writing down at that moment.
Amazing what alcohol does to you...lol

The thing is, Bon Jovi nowadays refuses to promote their albums properly anymore. During the These Days era there were 3 different acoustic radio shows in 1 or 2 days, on which they did acoustic versions of (It's Hard) Letting You Go, Lie To Me and the likes. They promoted These Days and even Crush very well by doing all those radio shows. When Have A Nice Day was released there was one radio show in Europe on which they played 6 songs and there hasn't been a single acoustic show for that album.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Woah how good is its hard letting you go acoustic? does it still have the synth or is it just jon and richie? Of course presuming you have it hehe

Thanks so much for the link. I couldn't believe that no one had posted it yet, but my searches found nothing. Might be because Sambora is spelled Smabora in the Youtube tags!

I was thrilled with seeing Richie do "These Days" on the 28th, but I think this is even better. Dave & Tico seemed to be enjoying themselves, too. Well done, guys!

It looks like it was about 2/3 through -- after Bad Medicine (yes, with Shout before anyone asks ;)) and before RSOW.

RichieW2001 11-06-2007 08:52 PM

A slightly better recording of 'Stranger':

ShaSha 11-06-2007 09:18 PM

Richie should just ditch this Bon Jovi country nonsense and do a solo tour.

From the looks of it on that video, I bet Dave and Tico would go with him! ;) Just tell me where and when, and I'll sure be there . . . .

*...the band playing Wanted.

redhead2006 11-07-2007 03:00 AM

oh! I'm sorry.
*swoons*
"the band" for sure. :)

RichieW2001 11-07-2007 03:07 AM

Ridiculous. It's no wonder the concerts are getting worse; all Jon has to do is turn up and jiggle a bit and 90% are happy. The band can do whatever the hell they like, as far as most are concerned, as long as they're playing in the right key.

redhead2006 11-07-2007 03:15 AM

hmmm is your post aimed at me?
because I do truly love the band. I have loved Bon Jovi for 21 years. I have fallen in and out of love with them many times.
Do I love the front man? Heck yeah! And well, the fact that he is wearing a Daughtry shirt:-D makes for one happy redhead. So I had my eyes fixated on Jon for that video? It doesn't mean that I think the band is nothing.

Ok - newbie *ducks under the covers*
:)

RichieW2001 11-07-2007 03:25 AM

It wasn't specifically aimed at you. It's general frustration at everything nowadays...the number of videos on YouTube that are simply 'Jon-cams', following his every move. Cameras that follow the guy all the way across the stage, purely to watch him have a drink during great solos. Comments on threads about how hot he is. Comments on threads about how 'he' rocked yet another swooning, middle-aged mother. Comments on threads about everything but the actual reason you should go to a show...the music and the performance.

Yeh, roll on the overpriced UK concerts where we get to share a football ground with Jon Bon Jovi fans and Fan Club members who talk all the way through rare songs like Dry County. I can hardly wait. If it wasn't for the performance I know these guys can deliver and the general excitement I get from a day at a Bon Jovi stadium gig, I doubt I'd bother.

redhead2006 11-07-2007 03:31 AM

ok phew.
I completely understand where you are coming from. And I seriously didn't mean to make it sound as if the band isn't important. The band is ALL OF THEM, not just the frontman.

Yeah, and I see no country or plus musicians there too, just a great jam with another good rocker.

BTW, another one from 95, this time it's an award for best selling record of the year by a rock group....

Crushgen24/88 11-08-2007 07:02 AM

There we go, by far the most passionate performance of the Pru shows (judging of course only from watching youtube clips) and our dear lead singer wasnt on stage...

Living_on_my_Hair 11-08-2007 06:40 PM

Holy shit, thats one good performance. Real soul and passion there, worth the ticketprice alone for that. Tico seems to be having a great time there too beating the shit out of those skins!

I liked Richie doing TD but he Stranger just rules big time. He should do them both + Hearts breaking even.
