PRO-shot footage of Richie doing These Days last night...in a word, awesome!

Sure there some patchy vocals, but he makes up in it with pure passion and energy!

andi

He has a superb voice, but not a huge amount of vocal stamina - which is what makes a lead vocalist really. But the band is gradually becoming the Richie Sambora show - he is just amazing.

Sleep-When-Im-Dead 01-15-2008 09:50 PM

wow best video and vocals of richie singing these days so far.... He really puts it all in to that song.. PLEASE can he sing this and stranger in this town at twickenahm on the 28th:).

Oh and as for that clip of Sleep....sad to see jon such a shadow of his former self. But hey as long as hes still there im sure noone would really mind in the moment watching him sing sleep:)

Mongoose 01-15-2008 10:29 PM

If I'd been there I'd have been well ****ed off, I pay good money to see Bon Jovi...not some stupid bitch doing a violin solo when it should be Richie destroying the stage..

gabriele 01-15-2008 10:43 PM

very nice version with many mistake

richie had flu: the voice is corrupted

Richie version is still a BON JOVI version and BON JOVI does not include a female violist or any of the other teletubbies

not exactly:
richie always gives the songs a different touch, more blues

and the problem in this version , it's not the violin
the chorus are (for vocal) to low!!!

ps live with orchestra of metallica...remember?
for me, it's a good live....ehehehe

Kev 01-15-2008 11:45 PM

These Japanese can sing better than Jon!

That sounded a bit weird ... it was very slow, and the lack of guitar was really noticeable, not just in the solo but throughout the whole song ... actually, all the instruments sounded really quiet, including the drums ... maybe it was just poorly recorded?

It sounds to me like Richie is sick. :( Too bad that it happened on the night we'd be getting good video. Damn. That was nothing like the other performances that have been posted on YT. Get well, Richie! The fans in Australia have waited a long time for another BJ visit. They deserve to hear the Richie that we heard during the Prudential and Canadian dates.

Your absolutely wrong, but thank you for knowing why I thought Gabriel was female

Heres the end of ktf from Tokyo 08 (Amateur footage)

Richie runs to the other side of the stage for the 2nd solo, pro footage would be great

Nice, thats the most I've seen Richie move on stage in ages lol

Wonder if he's using wireless guitars, and we get a nice big catwalk on the european leg. Thats was one highlight for the Aeromsith gig here last year - the catwalk.

Pretty cool to see.

schlochty 01-16-2008 04:44 PM

Looking at this, its no suprise that Jon's voice is shit nowadays

Livin in Sin from Phoenix 89:

Tictoc 01-16-2008 04:52 PM

This video makes me cringe for Richie, it's bed of roses from Milton keynes 2001. Towards the end of Richies solo jon shouts "Two more times" cos he wants to dance more with some girl, Richie then screws up.

Bad Jon

what a mad weekend that was!!!! ah the joys of milton keynes...

(Don't)Lie_to_me 01-16-2008 11:29 PM

Bloody hell Jon, what a shite time to say that, just as he's about the drop it on the final set of notes - it's an absolute nightmare to find somewhere else to go with the solo.

What a cock.

Liza 01-17-2008 12:46 AM

God I can literally place myself back at this show and that very moment...at the beginning of the song Lumpy brought the wrong guitar out to Richie, and poor Richie stood there shouting over at Jon and holding up hiis index finger to say ''one minute, one minute''...its the only time I've seen Richie flustered on stage, by the time he finally got Jons attentionhis arms were flailing all over the place. Having messed up the beginning, Jon decides to pick a girl out of the audience who was wearing a cowboy hat, but the stupid person (oops I hope she doesnt read this...oh well TOUGH if she does) stood there open mouthed, and then it took FOREVER to get her out of the pit and on the stage. I think by that stage poor Richie was ready to have a coronary.

That same show Tico actually bashed through the skin on his snare drum, cant remember which song, so we ended up with haf a song with no drumkit whilst the drum tech replaced it, needless to say Jon was extremely confused as to why there was suddenly a distinct lack of real noise in the rhythm section.

Brilliant show lol! I was also taught by two guys from The Potteries on how to hypnotise a chicken.

Bounce7800 01-17-2008 02:27 AM

Cant beat a bit of MK 01 reminiscing! Loved this concert, took my girlfriend of the time and had a blast down near the front. I can still remember trying to get out after- for some reason I had parked what seemed like inside the Bowl, although it was amusing a giant traffic jam of cars all blasting Bon Jovi out of the radios!

If only camera phones were invented then, would have been sweet. Only just found some of my disposable cam pics from Wembley 2000 and they are damn awful!

!

That always amuses me after concerts, as you're walking away cars are blasting out the band you've just seen. I know I've heard them for 3 horus so i'll put their CD on in my car!!! (not to say I havnt done it either!)

Its a good job the MK01 show was so good, cos apart from the actual gig it was a nightmare from start to finish!!!

Tictoc 01-17-2008 03:52 PM

This is Prayer (pro shot) from the Tokyo dome a few nights ago, the whole band look ****ed. Tico looks constipated, Jon struggles with the vocals and Richie is going through the motions. Dave is on fire as usual though :p

Maybe they were jet lagged or sick.

i had a good laugh at this quote from that page:

"Never mind . He could be tired, he could have cought a cold , he could be "older". Whathever, his sweetness makes him shine and rise us to heavens. And that's a lot, isn't it? BON JOVI 4ever!!!!"

.......i would prefer if he sang well to be honest, i'm blatantly getting into heaven already

Tictoc 01-18-2008 04:49 AM

Richie's talk box failing 2000

Prayer:

IMY (sounds like a cover band!):

Crushgen24/88 01-18-2008 05:06 AM

Playing at halftime of an NFL Thanksgiving game in 2002
Not the best performance, but holds memories for me, since its my favorite band, playing at halftime of my favorite football teams game.
And the Patriots won that day....20-10 if memory serves correctly.

With the exception of the high notes, I didn't think Jon sounded that bad. Tico looks like he has a hemmoroid.

JBJ - Try a little tenderness & R.E.S.P.E.C.T (live)

In 98 he did this, in 2000 he couldn't sing 1/10 of this...... I'll put that on my "world's big mysteries" list.

bjcrazycpa 01-19-2008 06:08 AM

From the first Vancouver show, Saturday, December 15, 2007. This show rocked and I'm glad I was there for both shows:

Part I with Jon starting in the audience:

Part II

Strangers from Vancouver, Dec. 16th. Video is shaky but Richie's extended solo is cool.

Thanks, cool way to end the song. Allthough theres more than a slight resemblance (is that spelled correctly?) to the solo he did at the end of Always in Wembley 95...
