Bon Jovi writting songs

I think that something's wrong in the way they write songs:

JOEY-Levon
STANDING-Dig in
LUCKY-Drops of jupiter
BOUNCE-It's my life..
AIN'T NO CURE FOR LOVE- aerosmith style
NEVER SAY GOODBYE- Hearts of stone (they told in a performance they stole this song to write it)

...

what the .... do they think when they're writting?

So far you've named 6, of which 3 are demos. One is an intentional tribute (Joey), one borrows the voice box from IML, but the chorus' sound alot different - don't know about never say Goodbye.

Not particularly solid foundations for your argument.

How do u explain the brilliance of Blood on Blood, Dry County, Fear, KTF to name but a few?

you're right but...

there are other songs i haven't named.I saw somewhere in this message board that chorus like you give love a bad name, two story town beggining... and a lot of other songs has strange similar parts to other ones.sorry for my english.

i agree with you but just wanted to know other opinions.

yes chorus of bad name is taken from a song by bonnie tyler or someone... desmond wrote that song too so i guess he ripped himself off, no big deal.

two story town is taken from joan osbourne's song.

and bounce ripping off it's my life... hey nothing wrong with that :)

granted, most bon jovi songs are original, but they did rip a little bit, here and there. i think no artists is really original 100%, they often get ideas from other artists (the so-called 'influence').

Yes, even Bruce Springsteen has borrowed. The song Mary's Place is pure Sam Cook, even some of the words are the same as an old song of his. In this case, like Joey, I believe it was intentional. Kind of an homage.

don't understand...

Did you hear abouta a band AC/DC????They are legends and Brian Johnson said:
"I DON'T KNOW WHY EVERYBODY SAYS WE HAVE 11 ALBUMS WITH THE SAME SONG ON THEM!WE HAVE 12 ALBUMS WITH THE SAME SONG ON THEM!!!"
A band has it's style and it should keep it,there 's nothing wrong about it.
