TV Problem
Well,
My TV seems to have lost most of it blue color. I am not sure what caused it, but it could be one of two things: I put a tiny speaker on top of my televisionor it could have been caused by the fact that it sits right next to the furnace which I assume has some kind of motor and coils (Anyone know if the furnace would be the cause?). Anywho, is there a cheap fix for this besides getting a degaussing coil for 50-100 bucks or calling a repair guy? I don't have any strong magnets, but I think if I get some it would fix it. I tried waving the three lame refridgerator magnets I own i front of it for 20 minutes yesterday (it was very amusing) and turned the tv upside down twice (which caused the screen to go all blue and purple until I shut it off and on again, so I know the blue is still there) and I got some of the blue back, but there is still all kinds of green where blue should be. Would stronger magnets fix this? How strong would I need? B |
i dunno exactly how it works but a similar thing happened to our tv a while back.
a guy in the electronics store said if you take the back panel off, there's a certain section where some small screws can be turned with a flat head screw driver. turning these affects the colour, brightness and sharpness and with a little tinkering my dad managed to get the proper colours back plus sharpen the picture up big time. the only downside was that we were set to get a widescreen plasma but my mum heard the shop guy telling my dad how it could be fixed :-( |
put magnets on it, hours of fun to be found there
