This is true unfortunately. When they were first around I thought that they were going to be great - less crap on my desk LOL. I think I went through about 3 sets of them before I went back to a regular wired mouse and keyboard. If I recall, the keyboard wasn't the problem but the mouse was never recognised and I kept rebooting until it was. It took forever. :(
