I´m sorry as well :(..

I'm sorry to hear that - especially when she was so young. It's hard to lose a pet who is a member of the family. Did something go wrong with the surgery?

It's amazing how much a person can love a dog (in this case myself). I was brought up with dogs around, alway had them.
This one, Nika, was the first dog I got when I first lived alone, so really my dog. Altough its just a few hours ago I already miss her. Everytime I entered the room, she was coming running in. Everytime I just went to the bathroom or upstair and came back a few minutes later, there she was all happy with a toy to play. Always active, everyday I went to the forrest (live a few minutes away from it) walked for at least an hour, and all she did was getting a piece of wood, wich I threw away, she'd get it, and again again again. Even after doing this for 4 hours and getting home, 1st thing she'd would do was get an toy. Again, how much I'm gonna miss her, I can't realize how much my other dog is gonna miss her. For the last 4 years they've been unseperatlbe. The only time in these 4 years that one of the two was alone was when one had to go to the Fed, the other one that stayed home alone litterarly when mental untill her friend came back.... So much life in her, so healthy i still can't understand. She had something on her uterus wich had to be takes away with surgery. Standard procedure, but somehow she got a heartattack that was the explanation. A few hours later I think this well could be a lie, and maybe some error was made. Nika was tested in June, and was completely heatlhy, the fed even said back then she had a sport-heart... I know people without dogs don't realize the bond between a human and a dog. For instance, when I was in a good mood, she was very playfull, when i was in a bad mood or down, she was very easy-going, very touchable. Anyway I alway was sure she knew exactly how I felt and she would anticipate on that (more than any of my dogs ever did)... what a emptyness this will be... Anyway just me & my worst friday of my life... |
You're right--many people don't realize the bond between a person and their pet. I can really empathize with your situation, thinking she was having a routine surgery and something going wrong. I had a cat that was being neutered, which is a very simple procedure, and he had a reaction to the anesthesia and died. Both vets were in tears because they'd never lost a cat to anesthesia before and I cried myself sick and kept crying for a week.
I really am sorry for what you're going through right now. Becky |
Sorry to hear about your loss. Pets dying always sucks. May you always remember your friend fondly.
