Internet Explorer 7

I'm downloading the new version as I type this. Does anyone else have it already? How do you like it?

(yeah, yeah... and I know Firefox is so much better and all... yeah )

Well, it is now installed and working. Very different so it will take getting used to.

And if anyone installs it: DO NOT use ClearType. It's rubbish and it took me a while to turn off.

It's pretty much just the same, apart from the Toolbars are a lot more compact and you can have various tabs saved in it like Firefox. I wouldn't rush to get IE7 by any means.

Firefox 2 is out now, just get that instead :p I've used Firefox for a while now and much prefer it to IE.

Seems IE7 doesn't install on Win XP Pro without service pack 2...?

I was told the new IE finally supports semi-transparant PNG files which is about time (but several years too late). Proper support for CSS as well? Can't be true! And they stole tabbed browsing too...? Also about time.

Too bad I can't check it.

Hmmm... I'll stick to FF :).

You have to get SP2, if for nothing else than safety. SP1 is not supported by M$ anymore and SP2 fixes many of the security problems WinXP has.
