Pamela Anderson has filed for divorce from husband Kid Rock less than four months after the couple married.

The star confirmed the news on her website, writing: "Divorce. Yes, it's true. Unfortunately impossible."

Her spokeswoman told People magazine: "Pamela filed for divorce last week. It wasn't a happy Thanksgiving."

Earlier this month it emerged that Anderson had suffered a miscarriage in the early stages of pregnancy.

The magazine said Anderson, 39, and musician Rock, 35, both filed divorce petitions citing irreconcilable differences, but that they gave different dates of separation.

While Anderson said they separated on Tuesday last week, Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, gave the date as Sunday.

Both asked that the court did not get involved in awarding spousal support.

The couple held a string on ceremonies to mark their marriage, starting with one of a yacht in St Tropez on July 29 described by Anderson as "the best, most romantic wedding of all time".

On August 3 they made their union legal at a Beverly Hills courthouse, before holding a third, surprise wedding on August 17 on stage at Nashville's Tootsie's Orchid Lounge.

well as i said in the abortion thread! this is another example of americas low view on marriage! like hwy the hell do you get married and spilt after 4 months! disgrace in my opinion!

his real name is Robert Ritchie? What an artistic name...and then he changed it to something as dull and inexpressive as Kid Rock. Made him famous though...

i know its not! maybe worng to blame it on america but it is a a trend thats starting to happen around the world! this way in a 100 years time it will be front page news if a couple stay together for more than 10 years!

I just got word from an old friend who has just moved in with her 'new' boyfriend. her last one died not even 2 years ago. It's quite easy for some. Impossible for others...........

I feel sorry for Kids son, he had to move school state and everything for this and it only lasted 4 months sad.

Oh, I know - I'm also appalled at these people who are getting divorced nearly before they get married. But still, careless as they are, I don't think they get married with divorce in sight. At least, I would hate to think so.

I read on the People website that she has filed for divorce due to their conflicting believes around animals. Pam is a strong activist for PETA and Kid Rock an avid hunter. He said in an interview recently that he wouldn't stop hunting and apparently Pam did not look pleased. What sealed the deal was Kid's mother wearing a fur coat...

If this is true... she should have figured that one out before they got married.. it not like they didn't know this about each other....

No its not that, he has got a temper though by the sounds of it and maybe living with her brought it out too much .Its one thing to date someone but to live with them is totaly different and maybe Pam found that she just didnt like him . Even though they have been through it all before .
