Something for the Pain video questions
 

To say the least, the video for Something for the Pain is, well, interesting. However, I do have some questions about it. Firstly, is that Hugh playing the bass? It sure looks like him. Secondly, the fellow with the long hair looks like the guy in the new Misunderstood video. Could it be so? And finally, who are all those other people!? Anyone notable? Again, it's a good video, although it is rather, (cough) odd. But that's it. Thanks ahead of time.

I haven't seen the Misunderstood video, so I have no idea about that part of the question. The people who are parodied are Eddie Veder, Snoop Doggy Dog, Dr. Dre, and Courtney Love. I may be forgetting someone--I haven't watched the video in years. Yes, that is Hugh on bass.

I always thought that a better video could have been made for this song..don't get me wrong, i like the video..but the video could have been more...in tune with the songs lyrics...i love the song

No I don't think that the long-haired guy is the same of Misunderstood video,I have the S4P video in very ggod condition on my pc so I can watch it very well and I don't think they're similar(maybe the hair).

As strange as the connection is, I think this video does relate to the song. I just made my own interpretation of it recently. I think BJ filled the video with "angst-ridden" stars as to show the absurdity of their continual ranting about how down on their luck they are. It's like they're saying.."gimme something for the pain..." yada yada yada. I don't know if I make any sense, but if someone catches my drift, then I've made my point. ;)

By the way, this is my least favourite BJ video. I think it's the cheese factor that turns me off.

and BTW, it's cool to have friends at JoviTalk to chat with about topics such as these that my friends just wouldn't get. :lol:

heh ain't it neat? everytime i try to talk about Jovi to my friends i get mocked and ridiculed...heh butyah i understand your point and i agree now that i think about it..out of em all SFTP is my least fav vid, along with One Wild Night

I don't mind OWN (except for the fact that it was re-mixed), but I aren't a huge fan of the something for the pain clip

I also don´t think, that the guy in the SFTP clip is the same as in Misunderstood, defenitely not. But I truely like the SFTP video althouth it may be a bit, well, different. Misunderstood is also great. So two very good videos.

I always thought that the "Something for the Pain" video was their worst. That's just me though.
