Join Backstage... Yay or Nay?

I've been thinking about doing this for awhile now and the next Jovi show I want to be pretty much as close as possible. I'll also get my girlfriend to join as well. What are the perks for the people here that have been apart of the fan club? Is it worth the money? For the special seating for concerts, how does that work?

At the moment we're basically paying $50 for using a message board!
It also seems we're not even going to get the quartely message from Jon that we used to!

Yes, do it

I finally got a membership wich isn't refused (yet) and having so much fun on the board... :)

The only good thing that has come out of joining BS so far, is that we could buy tickets for the FC Event at The HRC in london back in November, but no letter from Jon, no extra goodies...just a message board full of Jon lovers, who the majority of I cant stand (Although, it does have its nice members as well). I guess Jon is just busy right now with his ad campaignes and the recording of the new album. Hopefully there will be more to come in April...

The only way I'd get one is if it comes around to the next tour and I'm going to 3+ shows, so I'd be joining just to get in that bit earlier to get closer

To me, even if it's just one show that you get the priority seating it's worth the price. Otherwise, you'd be scalping those close seats. I've been a member since forever so I guess I don't even think about joining but just do it. But, yes, as the others have said, right now there isn't anything going on and you'd really just be paying for the use of the message board.

Ryan, they haven't said whether or not they're going to change the fan club ticketing policy. So, keeping in mind that you live in Oklahoma, be aware that you and your girlfriend might have to take time to drive to Dallas (or wherever) just for the CHANCE to buy your single tickets. No guarantees you'll get them. I wouldn't count on the fact that they played in OKC last tour convince me that they'll play there again. It had been 17 years since their last stop in OKC. If their policy remains the same, you're looking at two trips for each concert to take advantage of their "perks." That's assuming that the tickets for multiple shows you go to don't go on sale the same day or that you can travel the distance between those cities to buy your tickets in hopes that they haven't sold out while you were on the road.

Hehe, I see what you are saying. I might have to call Amy and ask her how she did it. She managed to get great tickets for both events last tour. Even if it were for one show it seems to be worth the price. Better than doing the Ticketmaster Auctions in which I paid 160 dollars a ticket for the 21st row. I mean, for me... The obvious priority would be to get tickets for the Dallas area, it's larger and there are more people. I don't know... I mean, I wish they would offer online fan club ticketing, that would make my decisoin so much easier!
