If they say anything else they wont continue to get paid for their research.

someone in the bible belt rejected scientific research showing that we're destroying the atmosphere, ruining the environment and killing out species year after year, there's a surprise. |

The jist of it is that a group of religious people insisted that "An Inconveinient Truth" must not be shown in any Federal Way schools (and of course they got their way because god forbid anyone would "disrespect" a religious persons beliefs) because the Bible describes that the world will end in flames, not from getting colder, and the world is not billions of years old as described in the film but thousands! According to the religious folks, Gore (and all the scientists with their "evidence";) ) present a cock-eyed view of truth. Frosty Hardison (who names their child Frosty?) the main protestor said, and I quote: "Condoms don't belong in school, and neither does Al Gore. He's not a schoolteacher," Don't you just love it? There were other grounds for why this movie must not be shown in schools, and I actually think this is worse in many respects. His wife said: "From what I've seen (of the movie) and what my husband has expressed to me, if (the movie) is going to take the approach of 'bad America, bad America,' I don't think it should be shown at all," Gayle Hardison said. "If you're going to come in and just say America is creating the rotten ruin of the world, I don't think the video should be shown." Oh well, there may be alot of nutball creationists in America but at least the President isn't one of them. Oh wait a minute......d'oh! |
a country with a fraction of the worlds population causing about 20-25% of its yearly world pollution levels is a problem and highlighting this does not equate to simply doing it for the sake of demeaning america.
i'm fairly certain al gore's educated to a higher level than some imbecile that doesn't even believe her children are capable of subjectively making their own minds up when presented with several sources of evidence. |
killing the world slowly but surely!! the president doesnt even care to b e honest tho i hope he was changed his opinion. there was a meeting about reducing gas emitions a couple of years ago in africa and i believe the president was the only one who didnt go to it! time he ****ing wakes up! america killing the world throu war and pollution!!
were the hell is Captain Planet! |

And what about the out of control nuclear reaction we call the Sun. Could it have any effect on the temperature? Ha! Of course not. It is America and their SUVs that are going to cause us all to burn where we stand. Or freeze where we stand, depending on who you listen to. Well, all Americans except Al Gore. |

the problem is that it IS SUV'S AND IT IS AMERICA for the most part. 300 million people causing 20-25% of the world yearly emissions is a monstrosity. china is the same, india won't be too far behind in the future and the UK is deplorable too. we're all responsible but whilst some of us act like adults and try to do something about it it seems a certain breed of american just like to shout: HEY MAN IT'S JUST THAT YOU HATE AMERICA, WHY DO YOU HATE AMERICA MAN? YOU SUCK!!! |
I was really interested in the ITV report until last night when the reporter ssaid 'is this is the melting just due to the normal summer in Antartica or something else' !!!!!!!!
As usual they are trying to be over dramatic... its summer there, stuff melts !!!!!!! I would rather see footage in the winter see what it looks like then. I know there is global warming going on but why try and use an antartica summer for effects... Dawn |
