So I just sent Matt Beck (for anyone who doesn't know he's always involved with MB20's albums and live stuff) a message on facebook on the offchance he'd respond and he did! Says the new album is great (obviously) but more importantly he said:

"Yes, will be touring North w/ the guys in the UK so see u out there"

Thought they would anyway but confirmation is always nice!

Yeah, they've been tweeting some people in the UK saying they'll be touring the UK. Important question is though, how many dates and where? Hope they play glasgow again!

hmm, i really don't know what the demand would be like. I don't know many people who knew Matchbox Twenty before I showed them to them. They're not exactly big here, what size venue do you think they'd play? Somewhere similar to Train? If that's the case, I'd say Manchester, Glasgow and London probably. Manchester Academy would be great. Maybe they could shift enough tickets in London for the 02?

They played at the SECC in glasgow last time when they toured Exile On Mainstream. MY girlfriend also saw them there on the tour before that. Pretty sure it has a capacity of 10,000. Not sure if it was sold out or not though. Heres hoping!

Oh that's good then! Well yeah, fingers crossed!

Just watching the "A Night in the Life of Matchbox Twenty" again. It really is just an amazing show. Absolutely gorgeous guitar tone from both guitarists.

Just saw that, was looking that you could watch it live via an app for iPad, but it's not available for US. :(

Linkin Park played the itunes festival a few years back and the whole thing was put up on youtube, so just keep an eye out for that.
