That said, my "North" order at Amazon changed status to SHIPPING SOON! |
The two Japanese bonus tracks are available on the iTunes store in Germany on the She's So Mean Single. Tried to buy them but because I'm from the UK, won't let me - typical, i want to give them money but I can't.
Anyone know a way to buy songs from another country's iTunes? Or would one of our German brethren be kind enough to buy them and upload them somewhere? EDIT: They're on the German Amazon actually and 30 cents cheaper on there. Only a Euro each, but still I can't download it from the UK. If someone who knows how to do this or is in Germany buys them then I'll be happy to reimburse them the 2 Euros (I'll even go so far as to make it £2, because i'm really incredibly generous like that, 50c commission, who could turn that down?) if they send the tracks to me. Plus, as well as being cheaper, as far as i'm aware, Amazon downloads aren't subject to the same restrictions that iTunes downloads are so there shouldn't be a problem playing it on another machine without having to go through the rigmarole of getting the account details. |
Their Itunes Festival show will be streamed live, gonna be great :)

Amazon finally shipped my copy! Should arrive Tuesday!

Can't wait!! whens it on :D |
on another note...I could NOT buy this album anywhere here on Saturday.
tried three different places. Not happy with that! |
Really hate that they release different bonus tracks all over. (not just MB20 other bands/artists I know do this also.)
I have heard the 2 that are on US iTunes, now I want to hear the other ones also and maybe grab to add to the my cd. |

Clips from the Today Show performance. They're still as good live as they've ever been. They didn't play She's So Mean, though. Found that strange. EDIT: Nevermind, they did play it. |

Does anyone by any chance have a spare ticket for the Sheperds Bush date???.
I have entered the Itunes but given my luck I am sure I won't win. |

No wonder illegal downloading is such a problem these days when bands do something like this! They should be made available worldwide. On another note, I got hold of the album Paul Doucette (Drummer/Rhythm guitarist) made while MB20 were on a break. Band are called The Break And Repair Method and the album is called Milk the Bee. Quite a good album, I was pleasantly surprised anyway! |

Either way, it's a decent album. Just trying to get hold of Kyles side project (The New Left) Loved everything i've heard from MB20 and all side projects/ previous bands so far, so i'd imagine it'd be good also. |

So there is 3 bonus tracks besides the 2 that are on the US iTunes? So unfair. LOL |
Noticed MB20's website went properly live today, was gonna post on the forum to see if anyone had the 2 german/japanese tracks, but the swines want $20 for a forum membership.
There aint really any other MB20 forums etc out there either. Pain in the arse. |
i got all the bonus tracks...anyone that still needs them, feel free to drop me a pm with your email addy :)

Yeah, really enjoying the Break & Repair Method album, love the first track, This City (is bound to do us in).
Also, just noticed North is at number 11 in the midweek charts, hopefully will go top 10 by sunday! Highest they've charted in the UK is number 31 with Mad Season and More Than You Think You Are. Exile On Mainstream went no 53 and Yourself Or SOmeone Like You no 50. Glad to see them get a bit more success over here! Most of the time when I mention them to a friend, they simply reply, Who?? |
The longer you been away, the higher the chance your new album will get higher in the charts then when releasing them on a regular basis though.
I salute you, TS |
Ok, can someone help me out here...
I got the deluxe edition with bonus tracks I Believe in Everything, Straight for This Life and Waiting on a Train. I guess there is one more bonus track that I don't have called Waiting On A Train (can anyone help me with that? :) ) that was on the Target-only CD. Are there any more? Ice |

So I've listened all the 17 tracks of the new album in a row now. There are definitly some good songs on it, especially the 2nd half of the album. Still I do not know why they did put Put Your Hands Up on the album. There's nothing in that song that works for me, really a poor filler to me.
I salute you, TS |

Got hold of all the bonus tracks now, really like them all. Just don't understand why they were left off in the first place! |
"I Will" really is a beautiful song. Can't stop listening to it, love the instrumental in the middle.
|
Yes it's one of the better songs on the album :-).

The more I listen, the tracks standing out to me most so far are Parade, She's So Mean, and Our Song. Radio, I Believe In Everything and English Town definitely hold my interest, though. I don't really get too excited about Overjoyed. It's got a decent chorus, but it sounds to me like an attempt to make a repeat of If You're Gone, and it's nowhere near as good. I try not to judge a song based on length, but I also think there's a lot more they could've done with the song beyond the 3 minutes 7 seconds. The album is growing on me, definitely. Put Your Hands Up isn't as horrible as it seemed at first. Definitely could be fun at a concert. Like MB20's version of We Got it Going On. |
Maybe they were just having an off day, but when they supported Bon Jovi at Milton Keynes in 2001 I just wasn't bowled over. Some give me a Youtube vid to inspire me

This is an awesome performance of one of their best songs, in my opinion. The guitar solo/jam at the end is awesome. |
Solid song and powerful performance! I did not know that song so thank you :-)
I salute you, TS |
