How did this all begin....

I found myself wondering this evening what the history of JoviTalk/Drycounty was? How did it begin? Who started it? etc.
I see that some of you have been members since 2002..is that the beginning?

Dry County web site was established back in April 1995, being one of the first Bon Jovi tribute pages on the web. It was and it still is a very important and perhaps even the most popular part of Peterweb WorldWide site, now renamed PeterWeb Creations.

The purpose of Dry County is to gather information and other data about Bon Jovi and to provide all that to Bon Jovi fans who have access to the internet - all FREE of charge. Also this site is in a way a nice promotion for the band itself. Keep in mind that this site is in no way affiliated with the band or Mercury/Polygram Records.

Dry County is here to be the portal site for Bon Jovi fans, meaning fans would be able to find information, submit new stuff to the site and, what's most important, communicate between themselves right here at Dry County.

Jovitalk 2 came about in August 2002 I think it was, before that JT was a part of the main website

Was it August? I remember it was still the old version of the site when "Everyday" leaked. I THINK that was July 31st, 2002. It may have been later than August. I can't even remember.

Thomas Anderson 02-05-2007 02:39 AM

It was July 28th 2002

Hmmm does anyone remember when Everyday leaked? Maybe it was the first week of July? I'm probably just crazy.

Thomas Anderson 02-05-2007 03:01 AM

It must have been. I think it was 2002 I went away on holiday on July 31st, I remember because it was my birthday, and I had a copy of Everyday that I took away with me. I was a member here prior to the change to JoviTalk 2, but mustn't have visited enough to notice the change before I left to sign up, as I only did when I returned a fortnight later.
