Has anyone else noticed............

Has anyone else noticed that bon Jovi seem to have followed a certain pattern with their single releases from their last 3 albums? (Crush, Bounce, HAND)

I'm meaning first single has been quite an upbeat rock song, second single has been mid-tempo(if that's the best way to describe it) and the third single a ballad.

Crush:

It's My Life : Upbeat
Say it isn't so : Mid-tempo
Thank You For Loving Me : Ballad

Bounce:

Everyday : Rock
Misunderstood : mid-tempo
All about Lovin' You : Ballad

HAND:

Have a Nice Day : Rock
Who Says You Can't Go Home : Mid-tempo
Welcome to wherever you are : ballad

Maybe i'm talkin crap but I noticed it a while back, just thought i'd see what everyone elses opinions were!

I thought the same after Bounce, but didn't think that Who Says You Can't go Home fit the pattern this time around, nor is Welcome To Wherever You Are the same type of song as the previous 2.

I have noticed that too and I think it is better than release 3 rock songs, 3 mid-tempo or 3 ballads... Would be kinda stupid not to show the diversity of the albums...

I agree.
On the other hand however, all my friends that only know the singles are like "BJ do the same stuff all over again" And I think that goes for many many ppl out there who do not know each and every song by heart but only the offical singles.

Have a nice day (rock)
Who says (mid)
Welcome to (slow)

can be easily added to that list IMO

And , with the exception of Who Says in the states, it all tends to be downhill after the first single.

As for the choices, Say it isnt so and Missunderstood were very odd choices and didnt fo them any favours

I still can't believe they never released Bounce as a single, it being the title track and all!

same for me for 'the distance', the only good song on bounce

I agree! I always loved Undivided as well. (I like both Bounce and Undivided better than Everyday and Misunderstood at the very least)

I agree, when I got Bounce, I thought the title track had hit single written all over it but was concerned that it was near the end of the album and Bon Jovi tend to load the first half of the album with the singles. It should've been the first single off the album but I don't like The Distance at all with all the crappy string sections in.
