Richie's LMS Gibson

Hi

Does anyone know what the exact model and colour description is of Richie's Les Paul he uses for Last Man Standing?

Cheers

It's a '59 Les Paul Special(?), cherry sunburst. I hope you aren't thinking of getting one, it's going to set you back big brass (if you can find one!)

Is it cherryburst or is it violinburst? It kinda looks too brown to be cherryburst but I guess seeing as it's almost 50 years old it may have faded a little over the years!:D

Very nice and VERY expensive as Richie2001 said!

This link has been posted before but it shows you the '59 LP up close towards the middle of the interview.

Yeh, it's probable that it's a violinburst, the lighting on the video isn't great though so it's hard to tell. I wouldn't turn either down, however. Part of the reason the '59 is so popular is it's the one Clapton played on the Beano album which brought the LP out of semi-retirement; it was a being discontinued until that point.

Just out of curiosity, how much does this guitar cost?

RS8MB0R8 03-02-2007 07:47 PM

In fact, in re-sale today, a 1959 Les Paul in good condition can be easily priced between $100,000 and $500,000.

From Wikipedia

Ans here's one for sale too to prove it!

I knew they were expensive but I didn't think they'd be quite as much as that!
