Sharing Policy!!!!!

We all know that we aren't allowed to share any file here.

But since when aren't we allowed to talk about it anymore?

http://drycounty.com/jovitalk/showthread.php?t=39079

If not, please update the policy

If so, please don't be such a wankers

Firstly, attitude like that will get you nowhere on this planet, so maybe you might like to try using some manners to get an civilised answer. Don't try to act hardcore with the keyboard. Perhaps if you treat us with some respect, then we might just show the same.

Secondly, as soon as people start discussing the sharing of files, that is when people start pushing the limits as to what can and what cannot be shared. Peter made the decision a number of years ago, about no file sharing or discussions about sharing files as it was too risky with authorities. It is HIS website on the line, so If you have any further questions regarding this, then by all means send him a personal message.

I'm sure he doesn't have time to waste, answering your silly questions time and time again. No sharing. No discussions. Deal with it. If you don't like these rules, go find another website where it IS allowed.

Thank You.

First A of all, if you would have any leading function in your proffesional life and act like you do as a Mod for the last 2 years or so, that would not get you anyware

First B of all, I did it in civilised manner and wich attitude? I kept the option open cause wasn't sure what was the case, and if it was the 2nd then in my opinion your (or Peter) is a wanker. Wich is really nicely put as far as this issue is concerned.
So please don't force your own 'values' up to someone else.

Secondly A, the policy only is mentioning the actual sharing of files. There hasn't been anything shared in the thread.
Secondly B, as you can see in my first post I would respect Peter (and the mods, although imo wankers in that particular case) that also discussing where to get files (NOT actual sharing) is also not allowed.
As you can also see in my first post I asked if this is the case then PLEASE update the policy as only the following is mentioned there;

''Since the removal of the File Sharing Forum, users are no longer authorised to post links to download official, live, bootleg or any other type of music or video file. This goes for mp3, wma, wmv, mpg, avi etc.''

In your policy there is not mentioning at all about discussing where to get it.
Therefore your policy/accurate & isn't really a policy but a rule not to share any file and for any other matter to decide yourself without being consitent (as I have discussed several times where to a file without being told about this (nonexisting) policy)

As you can see in my first post I only tried to get this message clear as it isn't in the policy, not in any other communication (I followed). In civilised manner, I only tried to help.

Short, thread is closed because it isn't allowed to discuss where to get files, although this is not mentioned in your policy
Seems a fair question from my side...
A rude & inaccurate answer from your side

(where did you get the idea from ''if you threat us with respect, we'll threat you with respect'? As I was not and will not try to get any nor the other way around? - have i ever complained/mentioned about that?)

Next to that, about the person asking about those songs. Will upload them to youtube later on and post them in the youtube thread.

This was posted by myself on: 09-012005. I will highlight the sections you have chosen to ignore in your little rant.

I am sorry, to have to bring this issue up again, but it seems as though some users just simply dont know when to stop. Of course I am talking about File Sharing. The Admin and Mod team would like to make it as clear as possible that NO files are to be shared on JoviTalk. None whatsoever. There will be NO exceptions to the rule.

For a number of years, JoviTalk has a hidden The File Sharing community. This forum has now been removed from JoviTalk, yet since then some users still decide upon themselves to post links to download songs, videos etc. This is why we feel the need to address this further.

I would just like to make everyone aware of the File Sharing Policy here at JoviTalk. Most users accept this new rule, although some users feel they have the right to ignore it and push their luck. Since the removal of the File Sharing Forum, users are no longer authorised to post links to download official, live, bootleg or any other type of music or video file. This goes for mp3, wma, wmv, mpg, avi, flac etc.

The moderating team have had to remove several threads/posts containing links to download new Bon Jovi releases, even after a warning has been made clear to all users. Please think twice about posting any others, as they WILL be removed.

There are other places on the Internet to download music or video files, JoviTalk is NOT of these sites. and under no circumstances should files be shared via this site. If you wish to discuss sharing music amongst users, then please use PM or email. The public forums are NOT the place to be discussing sharing files. You may wish to try Peer2Peer programs, or use Google as a place to seak files or websites containing official/bootleg material.

The only time when a user may post a link to files, however, is when material is being STREAMED from the internet (Not available for download). In addition, please do NOT request for files to be shared. These requests will also be removed.

I hope this is clear enough for everyone and please respect the wishes of Peter and the Mod-team.

Thank You for reading
The Admin/Moderator Team

Thank You for deciding to help out another user. Like also mentioned in the above policy, STREAMING files are indeed allowed.

Why not read that before launching into one of your tantrums?

I think the possibility of PMs is a nice compromise on the part of the board - and Peter. Those threads could easily be deleted, yet a door is still left open.

exactly, or say that straight away before starting a rant and at same time complaining about a rant.

At this ranting...

As you know I'm really interested & really trying to understand the sharing policy on this board?

So just for my own curiosity, why is this allowed?

Because her name is Dawn and it starts with the letter D.

Can't download what she posted, so all is well.
