Golden Circle on last UK tour

i didn't manage to catch any of the shows last tour but i saw that most venues had general and golden circle tickets on sale, i'm presuming that golden circle means the pit, which is what fan club members got access to the last time i saw bon jovi. Can someone explain to me how it worked last time, as in did golden circle get u up front and if so what is the point of being in the fan club, unless to get early access to tickets or reduced rate

and if i want to take someone with me to a concert do we both need to be in the fan club in order to get the benefits

The golden circle was the area directly in front of the stage, could hold a few hundred people easily. I was in the one at Manchester. What happened was that we were allowed in earlier than the general admission tickets, and we had a wrist-band to get in and out of the circle (to go to the toilet, get drinks etc). There was a seperate queue for fanclub members, and they got in earlier than us, so if they were fanclub members with GC tickets they could run in and get front row. The front 3 or 4 rows were probably mostly fanclub members. I was about 10 rows back from the stage, not being a fanclub member.

I'd say I was about 6 back...and I hadn't paid an extra £50 or whatever for it! Fan club = waste of cash!
Although, I only got so close because of the massive que crush that happened hahah! Otherwise I'd have been about 30 back.. God that was some funny shit, most ridiculous crowd control ever! "I know! Lets use all the steel raillings for the fan club! That are going to stand in a nice straight line and not actually try and push etc!" rofl

thanks for that so if u just get golden circle and not fanclub u still get pretty close, i mean the back of the pit is a good view, and fanclub alone gets you nothing. i was worried that they sold more golden circle tickets than woul dfit in the pit and it was still i a first come first served basis

at least with golden circle tickets you could turn up when you wanted to??

Maybe it was different for you guys ^^^ but.....

The golden circle was divided into two, front and back, the two areas being divided by the catwalk. If you were early enough (or fan club member) you got to stand in the front but when it got full you had to stand in the back golden circle. A lot of people complained because they bought golden circle tickets thinking they'd be in front of the catwalk but this wasn't the case. Obviously behind the back golden circle it was general admission. So 3 areas in total.

There were two gold circle pits on the last tour, one between the stage and the gangway, and one behind the gangway ... the first pit was for fanclub members, and I guess any other gold circle ticket holders that got there early enough, any others GC holders went into the second pit

Unless of course you were me and went to the Dublin gig. The bastards.

Mental note for next time; keep pestering the security staff to see if theyv put you in the right line, and dont believe anything one of them tells you but keep asking others. I spent 8 hrs queuing with my Gold Circle ticket in the queue i was told to go in, only to end up in the 2n area of the GC rather than the front. As i was entering the Stadium, after they saw my ticket they were like ''Oh, someone should have given you a black wristband instead to get you in the front'' and they sent me back to get one, and yes there were none left, so i had to queue again to get in and it was all a bit of a disaster.

But mind you,i guess it was worth it for the Opening song at least......! ;

Nope - one fan club membership = 1 ticket only. So you would need 2 memberships.

Milton Keynes was appalling GC wise. Couldnt get in the front pit, the staff were incompetent and rude. Ended up running front to back of the bowl to get a wristband- "Is this for the front GC?" "Yes". Was it? Course not. When I asked the drunken pikey why we were in the second pit, he said "F**k off". Lovely.

Like someone has said, it was worth it for LMS on the catwalk, but the MK GC were ridiculously huge compared to the rest of the UK.

The moral of the story does seem to be never trust any member of staff, they will invaribly always give you the wrong info.
