New album released June 18th confirmed

I just got an e-mail from Universal Greece confirming the release of the album for June 18th.

First single will be Make A Memory as was earlier mentioned in another thread.

Last week Jon presented the album in London to several Universal executives, including people from Universal Greece.

There was also a photo in the mail with Jon and a very happy Greek manager from Universal!!!:p

The title of the album as we already know is "Lost Highway"

That's great news! It isn't an official official announcement but it's close enough for me!

Let's hope Any Other Day is the next single after Memory :)

Lost Highway Wikipedia Article

Hi everyone, with the album releasing soon I set up a Lost Highway Wikipedia article. It's at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lost_Highway_%28album%29

It's a bit basic now, but I edited the HAND article and the templates to link to it. So get contributing with all you know! :)

Vax 03-19-2007 04:25 PM

I don't MAM is a good 1st release. They need something a little more upbeat.

SuperCoolAl 03-19-2007 04:31 PM

Remember... These Days' first single was a slow song ;)

I agree. I don't think MAM will do well on radio. Its way to subtle. I also wouldn't be so sure MAM will be the first single. I remember Jon and Richie talking about how they had such high hopes for Welcome to Whereever You Are in the U.S. right before HAND's release and then they decided not to even release it as a single in the U.S. Jon likes to change his mind. I also can't see the band going on American Idol in front of 35 million people (or more) and performing a slow ballad.

SuperCoolAl 03-19-2007 04:46 PM

What would everyone want the single to be? My fave is Any Other Day.

The Northern Cowboy 03-19-2007 04:51 PM

I think Any Other Day should be the first single, followed by MAM and Lost Highway. My opinion is based only on what's been available so far.

Happy Birthday to me

it is really a good news
any song is the 1st single
doesnt matter to me
:)

 This is the 3rd posting of this release, is there no mod around to make just 1 of them a sticky topic? We don't need more than one discussion for it

SuperCoolAl 03-19-2007 05:59 PM

Lol your thread asked if it was official. It quite clearly is. So this thread has a distinct and valid point. Let's celebrate! :D

Thomas Anderson 03-19-2007 06:00 PM

Well, I was wrong about MAM. It will be the first single.

haveaniceday 03-19-2007 06:27 PM

My prediction.....MAM tanks on radio. I'm not even sure country radio will play it. The song is so boring.

And no full song leak yet? that's its pretty amazing at itself

I'm very curious about this one, can be a lot or absolutely nothing IMO.

DevilsSon 03-19-2007 07:23 PM

the 32 million viewers...that's the same number since before th Crush tour...what the heck? they should update it. by now i think it's around 40 million...

Did anyone notice the fact that there are no release dates for Europe or Asia listed? I wonder if that means anything... I mean, thus far they were always announced at the same time as the US date was, right?
On the other hand, I can hardly imagine Bon Jovi not releasing an album worldwide

Id Die 4 you 03-19-2007 07:59 PM

has a full studio ver. of MAM been on the radio yet?

Wildflower324 03-19-2007 08:04 PM

I don't think so:

No, there is no way they will release a second single before the album even comes out. They will perform MAM on Idol.

Yes your right I would think so too, I'm not sure how long it took precisely from previous albums & singles but 3 months seem to a bit long don't it? Would think they want to have a single hot while releasing the album.
So or they thinking MaM will hit big time, or maybe there will be a second just before release of album...

to be honest, I don't care
