Country Jam July 21, 2007 (Eau Claire, WI)
http://www.countryjam.com/eau_claire/
Just announced-BON JOVI to headline Saturday night at Country Jam USA! Tickets on sale now. |
wow what songs are they going to play there cause from the songs i've heard none is actually "country". i think the record compacy told them to write a country album, they wrote a regular album with a country producer and fixed some country concerts and that's all - at least i hope so.
but this sucks either way. i wonder what is next.. a hip hop album and a concert with beyonce? |

Tour Date-Eau Claire, WI
OK, I have gotten all the details from their office (1.800.780.0526).
Tickets are on sale- $59 General Admissino $142 Reserved Seats $242 VIP Seats (includes all food AND drinks!!!) Eau Claire, WI is 90 miles EAST of Minneapolis, MN. They do have an airport, but it is easier to fly in to Minnepolis and drive (they said it is interstate the whole way). Eau Claire, WI is a town of about 70,000 people, so it isn't like a big 'po-dunk' town. You can actually go all three days if you want to take in some country music, too. Prices aren't that much more for all three days. There is camping on site. Camping is either $75 or $100 for the whole weekend. Website for this place is www.countryjam.com- It actually sounds like a lot of fun! |
Wisconsin is lucky
I'm not sure what lucky star we here in Wisconsin have but two Bon Jovi shown announced in a couple week span. First we have Milwaukee on the 5th of July then they are doing another country gig in Eau Claire a couple weeks later.....wow.
Gonna go to Milwaukee show but not the country show. CW |
I live in Wisconsin and I'm totally torn. The Milwaukee show sounds like a better venue for me, but it is my very first day of work at a new job!!!! ARG! So, looks like I shouldn't do that. Later in July, my friend from Scotland will be visiting (who is also a HUGE Bon Jovi fan), but I hate to pay all that and drive 5 hours to Eau Claire, and have Bon Jovi sing a couple of country songs and then leave. Country Jam will be an absolutely chaotic mess as far as parking goes too. Also, I don't want to decide to book one, and then have a new show announced that would be much better. I'll probably go with the Country Jam show but then I'd be forced to pay general admissions due to low funds. ARG! Thanks for letting me vent!

I'm in the Twin Cities (MN) and Eau Claire is really easy to get to. If anyone is coming this way, stay in the TCs and drive out for the show. It's a straight shot there and back on I94. There is NOTHING in Eau Claire, but there's a lot of great clubs/music/shopping here.
I doubt I'll go to Country Jam (even though it's so close). BJ playing at Country Jam is just too weird. |
