The HAND Final Giants Bootleg

Hi

I presume most of you have this; on the night did the smirk really appear between every song or is this just the editing by the maker of the bootleg? Suppose this is really for people who were there......

Just curious, thanks

I don't have it. :(

I was at the show and I have the bootleg DVD. I was a little disappointed with the DVD because there were so many smirks between songs and sometimes even during the songs. It was very frustrating to watch and know what I was missing. So, to answer your question, it wasn't like that at the show.

No - it wasn't like that at the show. The reason the smirk is there is due to video dropouts for various reasons. A lot of drunk people move past the filmer and kick the tripod - whoops. This usually accounts for video glitches at the beginning and ending of songs - people heading for beer or the bathrooms.

Sometimes security passes by and the camera has to disappear during the song. It sucks but that's the nature of bootlegs. This particular concert has some of the highest quality video seen on a bootleg. This is mostly due to the high quality of the camera and the high quality of the video screen that was used by the band. The audio isn't bad either if I do say so myself :p

Several of the Continental concerts from last December were recorded by me. At the Giants shows, my husband kindly took over the job so I could dance and scream and yell :) He actually gets better recordings since he is way taller than I am and he can get the mics in his baseball cap up above a lot of the crowd noise. I have an easier time getting the recording equipment in though since I'm female and they don't pat me down as much

All three of the Giants videos have Paul's audio dubbed - night one I think might be mixed with someone elses depending on which version you have.

Oh, so it's your fault I feel the need to spend money on all these bootlegs I own is it? Lol

You're a legend, thanks for sharing the nights it was impossible for me to get to. :)

All these were shared on dime (bit torrent tracker) for free. If you can download - there is no need to spend a lot of money. The audio was shared within a day or two of the shows, Thierry did the remastering. The video took a bit longer to be shared.

The final HAND Bootleg is my favorite from that tour. I believe that is the best. Mad props for Kathleen as always. You rule. I wish I was there. BOBITA + These Days! Can't beat that.
